I have heard many, but what is your interpretation of the end of the movie.

My interpretation is such:

Because the little girl opened her eyes, she opened herself to the demon girl, allowing Silent Hill to be unleashed on the rest of the world, thus a sequel will probably happen. Good movie though.

One was that they died and went to silent hill and must remain there.

People only think that because one of the endings of the first game shows Harrys body in his wrecked car. Don't see much evidence for it in the movie itself.
