haha! but Rock idnt a bad actor, plus he looks very similar to the role, he has a little too dark skin BUT, most Atlanteans are supposed to have darker skin anyways. I coudl totally see him do it, but I asm to wonder if they will use the ultimate version or the classic version

As to the Rock.
I think he is a decent actor and has the look of either Namor or Black Adam. I think he has one thing though that not many Hollywood actors can reproduce. That is the true style comic book physique.

I wouldn't mind him playing those characters. The only thing I may not like about him would be his voice, which is not what I picture when I think of Namor speaking.

I think The Rock has a pretty good voice for Black Adam though

An old thread, since Dwayne Johnson is attached to play Black Adam sometime soon - not Namor.

I have said on previous threads, the number one choice for Namor should be Jonathan Rhys Meyes, from THE TUDORS series on Showtime. His Henry VIII is spot on for Namor's personality.

Jason stalham from Crank is rumored.....

I've promoted Jason Statham in the past...

But I've become convinced they should go after Jonathan Rhys Meyers from Showtime's THE TUDORS. There's a lot of Namor in his potrayal of King Henry VIII, and he looks the part.

meyers is pretty small, though... unless thats what they wanted...

Mark Taylor is a pretty good fit for Namor (in terms of the look).

I actually think he would make at least a fairly good BA. He has the look, and is a decent enough actor.

They should cast Christian bale as Namor and let him dress up as batman. THAT, is the perfect Namor

I liked The Rock in Be Cool, Southland Tales, Walking Tall and The Rundown...but he does not seem even a partially good candidate to play Namor. Luke Cage, I agree!
