Friggin Captain America takes down a bunch of shield Agents and is going to have to fight Iron Man, Reed Richards and YellowJacket!

Basically the New Warriors fight a bunch of badguys and blow up a school! The Humans are outraged by this and react accordingly. This Gal Spits in Tony Starks Face because one of her kids was killed in the explosion.

Awesome issue. I have scans of this too.

The US Decides that all superheroes need to become trained and badged and liscenced to become supercops basically. Working for the Government. This makes low levels like Luke Cage and Spiderman and Daredevil have to quit because they refuse to deal with that.

Iron Man is all for it, as well as YellowJacket and Reed Richards.

There is a scene where Captain America is talking to Agent Hill and she explains that he is going to have to take down anyone who dissagree's with them. He refuses and she has her men attack him. He kicks the shit out of all of them and gets away.

After that... Iron man says that he will lead the front against Captain America.... the Civil War has BEGUN!!!!

This is really well done. Although Cap's mouth freaked me out a bit.


My family has always been very political so this story line really apeals to me.

The cosmics have Annihillus to deal with right now.

Here's my thing: to be honest, this whole thing will ruin the lives of guys like Beta Ray Bill and many others, because life will never be safe for them. At this point, I hope Bill and Thor take their hammers upside Iron Man's head. I do have a feeling that having Thor, Bill, Namor, Hercules, and a few others makes Cap's team very much badass.

I just want to know how they plan to hunt superhumans when they got thoroughly trashed by Captain America. What will they do against someone like Namor or Thor or Black Bolt?

Sentry will probably be with Tony, to be honest. He's been Tony's lap dog since the start.

Preview art definitely puts Sentry on Tony's side. I see Thor being neutral upon his return but I'd love to see him put Mjolnir through Sentry's face along with BRB giving him a Stormbreaker enema.

Is Hulk expected to comeback in time for this, or just continue his Planet Hulk miniseries?

most likely shield would have to rely on outside help. like the Thunderbolts,deadpool and all the other hero hunters that are supposed to pop up and all of those that are in support for registration.

But also cause they said there'd be a survivor of the blast and Speedball's powers mean he coulod survive something like that. Along with the tape of him saying they should go in for ratings even though they knew they were out of their league, it'll make for some interesting character conflict which we'll probably see later on.

I forgot about the Thunderbolts. Zemo is one of the heaviest hitters for either side.

Nah, i just think he'll get revenge on Nitro and beat down anyone who tries to get in his way. But even with what's happened i don't see Namor going pro-ragistration.

Namor's appearing in the Wolverine Civil War issues right? I dropped the Wolvie book so i could get Origins instead, but the first issue of Origins wasn't very good, and if Namor's in the normal book, then i have to get that. Plus, Guggenheim's two issues on Aquaman were good, and his Wolvie stuff looks better than Origins.

I'm jaded since I already read this concept in Alpha Flight

Overall this issue is a "meh"

And he and the TBolts have no reason to go easy on most of the heroes they're going to be hunting down, which is no doubt why the government tapped them for the job. The TBolts have the most to gain (pardons for past crimes, legitimacy in the eyes of the government and public) and the least to lose (they all already have criminal records, so what does it matter if they register?) in this Civil War. They're going to be anxious to prove themselves, which just makes them more dangerous.

depends on what you consider "confirmed." on panel, in the comic, speedball was referred to as "deceased." sounds like confirmation to me. the only problem is that the source was a civilian news anchor, or at least a pundit, and since a body wasn't shown, and brevoot made no mention of him being dead it's still possible the speaker didn't know what he was talking about.

excluding what may or may not have been evidenced in that interview, speedball is understood to be dead in the comic.

It will be interesting to see what will happenw with Spider-man in this series, as we all know he is the most conflicted character. I used to think that he would start out on Iron Man's side out of a need to repay his debts, and then switch over to Cap's, but now i'm not so sure... Overall, I hope he goes to the rebels' side, as would be best befitting the character.

Either way, his power and ability- trumped by few- could tip the balance in favor of one side or the other, though it's unlikely there will be a winner in this thing.

Speedball has that kinetic energy shield around him and I don't understand on how that explosion killed him. The blast from the explosion probably sent him off flying through the atmosphere before the heat of the blast could actually kill him. He'll be back.

Speedball's powers are untapped potential. To bad he's an idiot and too stupid to realize it.

Nitro is that same guy that caused Mar-Vell to die right? I'm pretty sure Mar-Vell contracted cancer from this guy.

It's Invisible Woman. Marvel is launching a comic named Fantastic Four: A Death In Family after Civil War, and IW has been confirmed.

I think it's Johnny. Someone pointed out that everyone of the F4 were at the Storm/BP wedding except Torch.

So if its not a tie in is the death going to take place after the Civil War?

So does anyone truly know what side Spider-man will wind up on, because, though it is nice to read the synopsis on the civil war issues concerning spider-man and the war at home arc, it is also vital to study the covery art reflecting those issues.

For example- on Civil War #2 it shows spider-man half in his original suit and half in the iron spider suit, and this is the issue a decision is made in. However; in the second issue of the War at Home arc, the cover shws spier-man still in the Iron Spider suit, and it is unclear whether he is fighting alongside Iron Man, or running from him.

The most inconclusive cover, is from the thirs issue of the War at Home, when spider-man "has chosen a side", but when one of the war's leaders comes to recruit him, will he stay true to it? The cover shows spider-man in the iron spider suit attacking Captain America.

my prediction: Spider-man starts out initially morally against the Registration, but has to choose a side in issue #2, when he chooses to be pro-reistration, that is, until Cap comes to ask him to reconsider his decision. A skirmish probably ensues between Spider-man and Captain America before Cap talks some sense into him, causing him to join the Anti-Registration side.

Although it could also be that he chooses Cap's side, and Iron Man is the war leader who pays him a visit, and the cover shows a fail-safe device installed by Iron Man in which the iron spider suit goes rogue and attacks Cap.... lol
