I'm still rather fond of the sig I made for that contest, I think I did end up using it even though I changed my username midway through the contest

lol. TOH's was league's beyond most of the others in terms of polished-looking and cool in that competition anyway. Cool Dodgeball sig, no doubt, but certainly not assured of anything.

This should be fun to watch, even if I don't enter. Stupid high file size limit is what's bothering me. More freedom is bad for me and good for pretty much everyone else. I think I do my best work under about 30-40KB (a necessary evil of constantly working with KMC's limits in mind, I suppose).

I've not had even one more come close to that. Which is why I've pretty much stopped sig making. I can't beat something I already did and my ideas are shit.

Indeed. And I've started somewhat of a GIMP craze over in the comics section. There's at least 4-5 new people using it in the last month or so. We're tentatively planning a comic-themed sig competition in a couple weeks too, exclusively for comic sig makers and/or regular members in the comics section (not to be elitist or anything...we just don't all want to get pwned by all the regular sig makers who are sweet... ). So yeah, numbers have been booming.

The "your name's gotta be on there" is really just for a security measure to be sure no one's entering a sig they didn't make. Normally....no one could care less what text -- if any -- you put on your sigs.

Bah, it's just so we don't get some sort of movie trailer like Aurora made for a recent duel. The higher the KB limit, the more it eliminates those whose talents aren't as advanced (with animation and stuff). A lower limit allows more people to have a chance....like me.
