I must agree with you there. I see all these magazines with their "greatest guitarist" polls featuring Clapton (yawn) etc and there is NO MENTION of Prince! The guy's a genius in my opinion. And lyrics? - "In France a skinny guy died of a big disease with a little name". Bow down and worship Prince averyone.
