I'd prefer dealing with someone who beleives they are related to Jesus than with someone who is trying to tell me how to live my life.

That would be about 2000 years before Jesus (if he was real), 2000 years before the scriptures (unless you count the protoform of the Old Testament.) 2000 years before Christianity in general. Are you talking about the Egyptians or early Greek solving disputes? Because they did sometimes end in warfare.
