Originally, the entire novel was going to be about Lyule Seztiocon, an "exotic" dancer.

According to the 'behind the scenes' informtaion, on C'baoth, in the Star Wars Databank on the Official Site. C'baoth was originally an insane clone of Obi-wan, but as mentioned Lucasfilm dissaproved of this, so Jorus C'baoth was created instead.
