Which young debater, or debaters do you think have the most potential to be great posters on this board? We already know about the legends, GL, Snoopdogg, Darkcrawler, but who has the potential to be as great as they are?

ummm...as much as I dont get into long debates, the times that I do...I usually get majority approval...and I won the last tournament (against some of the toughest debators around: Long Pig, Illadelph, Khell, and Scoobs)....does that count?

haha but really i dont pay much attention to the new up and comers...last person to have truely impressed me (even though we have disagreed) is theKahn.

some one should amke a thread seeing who has imrpoved the most and such. like example wolverinefury is a perfect example of some one who now known as mr.v has relay improved him self .

With all do respect theres only two people on this board who are I guess are "great debaters" or "legends" kind of over the top. 98.5% of the people in the comic book forum rob from other sites people who put a lot of work into there post then some monkey robs everything you do or these jackals who have no knowledge who uses wikipedia for everything. This is opinon based dont get me wrong but someone who just argues or starts flaming when they get caught in there bullshit and then relies on there buddy mods to ban or threathen is not a good debater no names included you know who you are. Its hard to find a good debate or discussion theres always a couple people who resort to flaming when they get embarrased and then the bans come this should be in all fun but egos usually get in the way.

then you should read the touraments and all the battles that take place within them ( since insults and flamin isnt allowed)

Probably the best actuall DEBATE on this forums was the Iceman vs Superman thread. I started it off vs some people, but Demi and Ill went head to head later on with Whirly in the most logical and non flaming debate I can remember.

thats good to hear very rare anymore I will check. I bounce between sites love this forum but got a little prekindergarden a couple months ago starting to look good lately looking forward to good discussions.

It hasn't been a good debate in a while? The best debate I can think of in the vs forum right now is the Juggernaut vs Superman thread.

That dude has some debating skills owning a lot of people in thread. IMO, he is the best.

There aren't many "great" debaters as discussed previously. It mostly hodgepodge comic talk.

Everyone has had a few really cool debates. My favorite was a Plastic Man vs. Hulk thread. I think I was fighting demi (could be wrong though). Anyway, I sided with PM, but it was a good time.

I honestly don't know any "up and comers" and I'm not quite sure exactly what that means. But with how much stuff I have to sift through rapidly now as a Mod, you generally have to be here a while before I start to notice your debating, so I'm probably not the best judge. Validus has impressed me lately though.

I impress myself. No, but many people have impressed me with their debating skills. It's really hard to narrow it down to just a couple. Many people have presented me with tough arguements.

am I legend?

Is this one on one or in a group? I know a lot of peple on here are good mass debaters, I for one try to mass debate a few times a week, it helps relieve stress I find.

My vote would most likely go to Black Adam. The guy actually manages to pull off being genuinely funny (ie without the immature streak that runs though some others) and being a damn good debator.

Hard to find a good debator who doesn't veer into rampant fanboyism, or just being stubborn & obstinate. If one of you isn't swayed after ten pages, then it's just a battle of wills.

I've seen a lot of posters in my short time here, and some are just damn good.

Samishe is sometimes very good IMHO... and if Black Adam's that new, I really think he's pretty good...

Trying to get scans, arguements, strategies...and comin up with counter points...well..its alot lol.

I'm not decent. I suck at debating. I end up giving up and saying something incredibly stupid just to make everyone scratch their heads and forget my original stance at all. I do that because I debate these things while I'm at work, therefore I don't have access to my comics for scanning and posting why I believe what I do. It's a shame really because I have a huge collection to work with and a lot of resources.

This thread is people to voice who they feel is the most underrated debater on these forums.
These are the guys that you see rarely in debates but when you see them you think they can hold their own with anyone.

These are the guys that just don't debate much or just go into few topics to debate. Yet they always show they have knowledge and can turn that into intelligable conversations.

So who are the underestimated?

My vote goes to Blair Wind he doesn't get into many debates but he still stunned many people by taking the last tourny taking down the champ in Scoobless.

I co-sign on Capt. He can usually back up his argument for Wolverine even though I don't always agree with him. I've also seen him do quite well on Captain America threads.

I disagree I have gone up against Heguy and half the time I don't even know what he's trying to say.........

Validus-very smart and doesn't really get into debates because he's already beaten the other person before it's even started.

Dizzle-Very good aswell

Yahman-Very good and gets overlooked by those with no humour......

I think Blair has been using the "I won the last tourney" thing enough, so he gets respect. But no one remembers that jinzin took the one before it. Still, Scoob has 2 tourney wins, and has reached the semis and the finals in the other two...stats like that are nigh-impossible to match. But I think all of those guys get the proper respect.

So I dunno.

xmarks is very good. as is lam. both good calls there. illadelph is another who has been mentioned. there are only a very few people whom, if i see them post in a thread, that i will read just to see what they have to say.

meh, it's not something I like to throw around, I don't like rubbing people's faces in my victory, it's like asking for trouble... plus I tend to think that my debates will continue to impress regardless of whether or not they are in a tourney finals match.. hopefully they do...

PLUS... I like being a "sleeper" too many new-people think I'm gonna be just another wolverine fanboy when i come trucking along in the wolvie threads.. boy do they got another thing comin...

But on topic. Recently I debated Dark crawler and think he's a good debator. He never took discussion too personal and keept it plain and calm. Hellmaster never gets respect he deserves. I also liked some Jinzin's posts.
And ofcourse my greatest respect to KMC mod Digi. Man, recently found this post on religion forum

Incidentally, the Koran mentions Allah's love for us something like 10 times more often than it mentions jihad or any sort of violence (at one point I knew the exact numbers but have forgotten). It's really a much more peaceful religion than popular conception would have us believe. It's just the extreme divisions of it that make the news, so our views are biased toward that outlook.

If your church blatently condemned Muslims, I'd run the other way. Or, even better, confront them and ask them to justify their claims and hopefully expand their minds a bit.

I think that Accel doesn't get the respect he deserves, he is a great debater. Some other guys that are good are TheKahn, spetznaz, UniOmni, Digi, Jinzin, and Adam Warlock.

Nataku needs some respect. He's very blunt and often gets straight to the point. Can't forget about leonidas. Accel and Lucid Lui need some props as well.

By the way, thanks for mentioning me batdude.

DigiMark's posts are about quality, not quantity. I think we all stop to read what he says.
