Havent kept up with dc for a bit. Has Mxy been in many books as of late??

Well from what i have seen, a few months ago while The Spectre was running around destroying anyone and everyone that got in his way this caused the 5d imps some problems with there powers. Mr. Mxyzpltk was almost depowered and in the a Superman comic he seems to have died while protecting Clark aka Superman. Is he really dead? Don't really know cause when he died he just vanished and i think clark said he died (don't know if thats true or not just read the comic while at the store ).
