Uh..... it's kind of hard to overrate somebody who can time travel, steal speed, infinite mass punch, phase through solid objects, run MANY times faster than the speed of light to where he can actually go beyond speed itself, etc...

Same goes for a guy who has taken down four gods, also moves faster than the speed of light, is strong enough to one shot a star or planet, has the durability to take a supernova as well as fly out of a double black hole, etc....

Other than that, I agree with you.

haha whatever, I only started reading Alpha Flight this year. When the respect thread was made I only read like 2 AF comics and got my scans from another board.

U guys suck sayin that Wolverine is overrated, the only superpower he has is a healing factor, and I guess an unreakable skeleton and 12 inch claws but those really arent a power....and he has beaten the Hulk before or at least made him hurt really bad. Thats amazing considering his powers. When Wolverine wants to be he can be stealthy and cunning, and on the other side he can flip out and kill like 100 martial arts trained ninjas. Wolverine has so much experience in fighting that there is like no way that he can be overrated. He is the ultimate killing machine.

And you wouldn't? I wouldn't want my arm burned off by heat vision. If Superman commanded you to wipe his ass, and thank him for the privledge, you KNOW you wouldn't resist.

You just proved our point. Wolverine only has a healing factor and adamantium claws and Marvel seems to think he can whoop everybody ass. It's crazy the way Wolverine just magically wins the fights he gets in.

No i'm just saying that he is that good because of all the expierience that he has from all of his years of training and fighting and that u guys just see the healing factor and the claws. He has been fighting since the 1800's and has mastered learned every fighting style on earth from special forces tactics to martial arts.

My problem with Wolverine is simply that some people write him beating and matching people he has NO business logically competing with.

That, and he is written inconsistently. At some points, he can dodge bullets (not avoid ALA Batman, but actually see the trigger pulled, and move FASTER than a bullet) and at other points, he is an olympic level athlete. At some points, he can fling dumpsters, and hang with people like the hulk, and then he gets KO'ed by daredevil with a weight.

That, and he has a limitless following by all the comic book geeks that spend all day imagining themselves as a 'rough, sexy, powerful super soldier with a don't-give-a-damn attitude...blah blah blah'. This overly-large and demanding fan-following leads to him defeating people he has no business defeating. This leads to extreme fanboyism. And things like that are just annoying and bothersome.

Meh. Wolverine is still one of the most over rated and over hyped superhero's. Survive a nuke? No. ****ing. Way. *shakes head*

aquaman yes i know alot of new aquaman looks and badassness is taken from namor but yea aquaman is not that bad some people think he still just talk to fish with no real powers.

dude the only reason i say supes beats hulk is cause supes gets an upgrade every new comic an dc writers wont let him lose to hulk but other than that i fully believe its in hulks power to completely own supes not arguin just statin my opinon(my pops just gave me all his comic books from his childhood an he has about a 1,000 in all its pretty clean but haha)

Most Overrated- Wolverine, and by a large margin. Let some here tell it, Wolverine can whup anyone herald level and below.

Most Underrated- Darth Vader. Use Darth Vader in a thread and virtually everyone will have street-levelers beatin him down...nuts.

NObody f*ckin believes that Superman can defeat Galactus. That is only an exaggeration of how Superman haters portray Superman fans.

Nobody compares him to somebody like Eternity or Galactus or anything like that. You are just blinded by your Superman hate.

And this comes from somebody who argued that Superman would get taken down by a lowly vampire. Some people may overrate him sometimes, but you just plain UNDERestimate him. And he's not as overrated as Wolverine is.

I dont think Wolverine is over-rated. Just way too over-exposed. Its just some people use the millions of appearances to make bold claims that are untrue so people think hes over-rated damn them..
