I was wondering what everyone would think if DC started an Ultimate line of comics, I think they should and that it would be pretty cool.

I dont know I just typed in Ultimate DC on google images and all of this came up, I read all the stuff and it said that Wizard created a bucnh of stuff on Ultimate DC but it never happened

Do they change around alot of stuff like Ultimate Marvel

I think Black Canary was a bartender at a pub of the same name...

It's funny because they could really do well creating an ultimate print. Instead they go back in the ALREADY convoluted DC pre-crisis history, AND mess around a little more.

Plus the All star series really isn't doing all that well , people are only buying All Star Batman to see if MM can ruin his stories anymore.
All Star Superman seems to be fluctuating in it's awesome level as well and apparently their also going to try out a 'ALL Star WW'

Just screw the All Star crap and go straight to ultimate stories , theirs a damn good reason why their reaping in the same (If not more) cash then current marvel story-lines.

I agree... I think I'll try to get one of my mates (one who doesnt actually read comics but likes X-Men etc a lot) to dop the art for me as I was planning some UltimateDC Comics work... I had one that I really liked for Ultimate green Lantern somewhere...

The Ultimate Batman looks cool. I think that Ultimate DC would be a good idea if they ever released it.

All Star DC is just an imprint with loose continuity. All Star Batman for example takes place in the Dark Knight Returns universe according to Frank Miller. It also sucks.

If All Star Superman continues at its current quality, it's going to be one of the best Superman stories out there.

An Ultimate DC idea doesn't fly with me, especially Wizard's. Their idea for Superman was an adult version of the Smallville Clark Kent. Big deal.

Ahh , so Millar is falling back to his failsafe . Say it's within DKR and hopefully the fan's will eat it up with a spoon. Too bad he stunk the book out so much that even slapping a 'Civil-War/Crisis on infinite earths , Wonder woman and She Hulk naked posters inside' label on the front won't bring it fans.

Looks like it could be good, but its just DC's answer to Marvel's (Brilliant) Ultimate universe which IMO Dc's version will not be as good..........

AS Batman does seem to have a solid group of fans who like the absurd take on Batman. I don't know if they're just Miller fanboys or what but the comic is selling.

well Jim Lee is a great penciler

If they made an ultimate DC I think Marvel might get a little butt hurt about it...stealing the name and all.

i think id read the teen titan ones and i dont read them much now and god knows i dont read the ones based on the cartoon

I think that Ultimate DC would be a great idea if they didnt screw everything up, it needs changes, and alot of them or else the Ultimate series wouldnt be that interestin

Jim Lee's artwork is way off point in this series. His work on Hush was far superior.

Once Frank Miller leaves All Star Bats, it will get back on track

I'd like to see an Ultimate version of DC characters. I mean hell, if its noncanon, have some fun and play with ideas. I don't like the idea of Batman being and actual bat-man though, I think that's a little weird, but it would make more sense to have like that tie-in aspect that Ultimate Marvel has, where a lot of things happen in response to other events (ala Super Soldier Serum is very important and whatnot)

Eh... the All-Star titles being late doesn't really bother me. It's not affecting other titles, and i've got plenty of other comics to keep me busy. When they do come out they're normally a good read, so it's worth the wait.

Even All Star Batman? Is there ACTUALLy much difference between Earth 1 and Allstar DC?

Think of All star as a line where writers can write a character basically anyway they want without having to worry about continuity, compared to a universe like ultimates.

If they make an Ultimate DC they need to not screw it up and make it exactly like the original DC. Oh and...

I especially like GL.
I thought Batman and WW were the worse because there was very little difference between them and there originals.

The Flash looked like he had more character. There's nothing wrong with that.

im being informed that those arent ultiment versions but when i saved them to my pc the names that were already set to save them under were ultimentflash,ultiment gl...ect

Who cares if they are or not? I think it's a good idea.

I didn't like Aqualad's hair but other than that he was cool.

Robin on the other hand looked horrible.

Speedy looked awesome though.

Green Lantern looks okay. But he reminds me of Green Arrow for some reason.

Superman looks horrible. What the f*** are those spider webs on his shoulders?

The Batman outfit looks very cool but I would touch up the gadget attachments.

Wonder Woman looks okay. The main body piece is good. But I don't dig the "look I have no nose!" noseguard for her tiara. The bracelets could have been designed better. I hate the boots.....

I agree, I like some of the "cool" looks, but sometimes they go overboard. That's why when they updated everyone else, I'm glad they left Spider-Man alone in the Ultimate Universe. His costume is exactly what a fifteen year old boy would go out in if he attained superpowers and thought he would be so awesome.

I do like when they make costumes look more realistic though, but this has to be differentiated from making them "cooler." Artists like Joe Bennett leave the costume design alone, but touch it up by adding textures to the costume fabric, drawing in where seams and zippers would be, etc. He left Captain America and Falcon's costumes alone, but made them look better by making them look more believable, with just a few extra lines to make it look like an actually tailored piece of clothing. Same with his tenures on Hawkman and Birds of Prey. Same costumes, just a new vibrancy to them.

not me i wouldent were any costume id just dress normal and if a super villain tryed to exploit that fact id kill them not send them to jail becaues no point if their just gonna break out (unless their just like regular robbers id just make them go crazy)
