I was overseas for awhile and missed out on the release of Ghost in the Shell 2 ( not that it was in cinema's down here in Australia ) which was a bit of a shame because I loved the first one. I only recently caught up in the series and sat down and atched the 2nd installment.
Personally, I don't think number 2 comes anywhere near the first movie as far as a script goes. The anime/3d in the 2nd movie was a nice touch ( things were very pretty ) but the movie just lacked any soul.
I guess it's just the cliche attempts that we always see when companies try to produce a better quality movie on the back of something that cannot be replaced.
Anyone else share these thoughts?
