Just a question, are you MAD at her for not having much time to spend with you because of college? You seemed like it's....kind of her fault for not being able to have quality time with you as often as you'd like. I'm not trying to insult you, I just want to know. Sorry if I got the wrong impression, it's actually kind of better off that she's in college, more money to spend on you once she's out.

denial/scapegoating/not letting go

those are the first reactions of someone being dumped. but in time you will get over it.

I think I read somewhere that on average it takes a thrid of the time you were together to get over your ex

I think the fact that she is out there in college living her life is one thing, but to request that you put your life, or love life, on hold for four years is downright outrageous, Rex.

What if she meets someone there? What if she changes her mind? You're f*cked. Nobody is saying "Don't be hurt" and in situations with love, heart rules mind a lot of the time. You don't do what you know you should. However, you should try your hardest to see reason.

Don't rule out the possibility of getting together again, but don't wait four years for it. If it happens, it happens. In four years or less you will probably want different things.
