I keep trying to download trailers from the quicktime site but they never work. Like today, I tried downloading the Spider-Man 3 teaser trailer, but where the trailer should appear there is a faded quicktime symbol with a question mark over it.
How does I fix it and make it so I can download trailers?
Many thanks.

Right. I presume this is Firefox, which seems to have a problem with Quicktime...
Open Quicktime Player
Edit -> Preferences -> Quicktime Settings
Go to the File Types tab, and tick all the video ones.
Apply -> Okay.
Hope that works.

Thats so wrong... Quicktime works for me with firefox and I have never had to reinstall.
What you need to do is install quicktime appart from firefoxs quick link. Download Quicktime from the apply site and install then you should be fine.

Can anyone provide a link to download a good quicktime? I tried Quicktime 7 but it turned out to be itunes. I already have itunes!

Quicktime is bundled with their stupid iTunes crap, that's the only way you can download it.

I've had this problem before but have no idea how to solve it.
I try to download a movie trailer but it cames up with the faded quicktime logo and the question mark. I search on the internet but the instuctions are FAR too complicated, it's all about resetting your browser and stuff.
Everyone always says "Just delete it and re-download it."
I've done that a million times and it still doesn't work.
I HATE quicktime!!!
Yeah, I know this should be in the help forum, I just don't want to wait two days to get an invalid reply. Besides, this is an emergency!

it's coz your internet is dodgy, it hapens to me sometimes when i go to download a trailer and drop out halfway through the page loading.
i suggest doing all your downloading late at night so you don't have to compete for server space
BlackC@
I don't think that's the case...

Quicktime sucks!
Try finding another media to download it from. Also make sure and see if you're not blocking any scripts or if there's a missing plug in that you might need.
bogen
well sorry mate i can't help you, off you tot to the help forum to wait for your replys that are meaningless

"Just delete it and re-download it."
This usaully works. i dont know how your deleting it but try going to the control panel 'add/remove programs' and remove quicktime and download it again.
