I was wondering who will win in a fight between superman and green lantern(Hal)?

This is actually a pretty good question.

I'm going with Hal.

Oh man Why did Superman spend time talking like that..............he could have just SPEEDBLITZED.

GLs are way way way underrated how is it that people that possess a ring that can do anything with enough will power dont get enough respect on this board. A really powerful green latern could give people short of skyfathers some trouble.

Ring has an automatic defense system. Meaning what happened in Infinite Crisis with SBP....shouldnt have happened

Superman. I think i once read a comic where superman was in some kind of a what-should-have-been-if world, where he was forced to kill the green lantern, and he succeeded.

That doesn't count. That was mullet Superman and he SUCKED. However, Hal would still probably take him.

Right right right. Got my years mixed up. Even so, MULLET Superman was horribly weak and Superman of now would fair much better, although Hal would probably still beat him in the end.

superman would win because even those green larten is powerful his ring his limited and it would evently run out of power . superman has a unlimited power source. plus superman can run at super speed and take the ring green lartern finger in a blink of an eye than it would be green larten who?!

the only problem with superman he doesn't kill if he did it would be a big problem for some of the people who fight him.

If Superman decides to steal Hal's ring before he can react, then the ring isn't going to go into automated defense mode. However, Hal still probably wins this 6-7/10. What about the time Kyle pretty much dumped the full power of the ring at Superman, at Supes just flew through it anyways and kept coming even though it was messing him up a little? Kyle was like "No fing way . . . that's impossible." Then Batman clobbered him from behind.

Or in Sacrifice when John tried to contain Supes, and Supes without even trying hard he just punched the construct into pieces and John went reeling from it?


I think a GL has the potential to beat Superman, but take it 'easily'? No.

I could see Hal winning if he makes K-nite with his ring. But the last time a I saw a GL do that they had to concentrate on doing it which took precious time. And in this fight time is of the essence.
