So im sure you all remember when SR was getting started in production and the producers of the film and the show were saying that there would be certian things that would tie the two together and that the film was not going to trample all over Smallvilles story lines... well living in the UK and not having seen the film yet what does actually tie the two together (apart obviously from the fact they're both about Superman)or was it just talk that never came to anything?

I seem to remember the producers of Smallville saying that some thing would happen in season 5 that would appear/effect the film in some way. Did this ever happen?
