When I select "copy smilie to clipboard", the action doesn't do anything in Firefox...is this a crazy problem on my end, or is Firefox simply not responding correctly because the code(I assume PHP)was written in a more unorthodox fashion to deal with an odd quirk in IE?
Barker
Just copy the name, and add ~ and # tags.
MyOwnMuse
Yes, I had figured that out.
I wasn't necessarily asking for an immediate solution, but was wondering if the problem itself could be fixed.

Still not working.

still doesn't work for me. weep

Doesn't automatically go to my clipboard.
Barker
Press Ctrl+C instead of Okay.
Or is that the problem, that when you hit Okay it should be copied?

In IE it is copied to your Clipboard automatically, which is what I would like for Firefox.

Yes, because pressing Ctrl + C is so hard.

It is if the C key on your board is broken...

On the contrary, when using a mIRC site I would click on a link on their page which would open my mIRC, but as it did so it copied text to my clipboard to post in the client.
Thorinn
so i guess i'll just have to press control c then...

Thanks for all your help, Raz.
For those that care, you can set FireFox to allow access to the clipboards on the user end, but nowhere I've looked has offered a server-side solution. Oh wells!
Raz
It is possible to use the clipboard in Firefox, but it is overly complex, and is off by default.
If anyone wants to write the JavaScript, please feel free and I'll add it on.
