CIVIL WAR Tie-In!
"Vendetta," Part 6
This is it! The senses-shattering conclusion to the Civil War tie-in Vendetta! It had to come down to this: At 30 thousand feet, aboard the SHIELD Helicarrier, it's Logan vs. SHIELD's elite Super Human Restraint Unit...and one of the Marvel Universe's most powerful super heroes: The Sentry! Logan started this story as the hunter, but he's finishing it as the prey!

Logan dies in .01 seconds if that's the case.

DarkCrawler
From what we have seen thus far from Guggenheim, Sentry's only option is to throw his enemy to Sun.

Again.

In his own Guggenheim written book? I dunno. I wouldn't be surprised to see Logan make it a fight.

DarkCrawler
He'll probably have Sentry do something stupid like hovering over Logan and talking peacefully to him, then standing in one place and get stabbed.

Accel
Who'd be stupid enough to do that?

So how long until the Namor fight comes out? laughing out loud

DarkCrawler
1 month, 5 days, 22 hours, 34 minutes, 25 seconds. miffed

How long does it usually take to order heavy weapons like gatling guns these days? You know...the question just...popped into my mind. whistle

that's right folks, wolverine is on Cap's side, Sentry better watch out smile

I was joking at the time. I guess the writers stole my idea eek!

I'm SO happy to hear this, finally Logan will get the respect he deserves. Bob is gonna wet his pants and beg for mercy from The Claws shifty

Swanky-Tuna
Why does the description make it sound like it should be exciting? Maybe it'll be like "Galactus vs Wolverine... (seriously)" that ended up seriously being Wolverine breaking his stupid bone claws on one of Galactus' machines.

Wolverine's always been top tier. He just holds back all the time. But an all-out Wolvie?

Watch out Sentry.

this is so freken sad. I'm a wolverine fan and I can't stand when they put wolverine up agenst someone like this. He's just so out of his league it's no even funny or entertaining. It does harm to the charater of wolverine.

grey fox
Crusader...damn well it looks like Wolvie didn't pwn him so much as crash the plane with both of them in it.

Rewmac
Just a quick question?? What can Wolverine do to Sentry...I mean a guy who's power is nearly limitness??? Well looking forward to it...Go, Bobby, Go....

Man, Sentry is kicking every single one in the MU.

Better for Herc to stay in Olympus. If it still exists......

Seriously. He is unkillable by conventional means by now.

I bet if Thanos fired the Millennium gauntlet at Wolvie it would just rebound off of 'DA CLAWS' and kill Thanos .

....actually thats how Infinite Gauntlet ended , none of that Adam warlock crap just a simple rebound from the Omnipotent Canuck.

I heart you.

You are probably one of the only sensible self-proclaimed Wolverine fans I know.

thanks dude

Meh, the Crusader isn't a Thor level villain at all really. His power is based on the situation he's in and how "right" he is morally.

Basically, he's a total nutjob religious fanatic who just happens who have a sword who has limitless power, but the power is only given to him if he's using it for the right reasons...which he never does.

When he's not morally correct, he's below average human (and since he had a ton of thugs in that issue working for him, he wasn't being pumped up with power). Wolverine basically just beat u a normal guy with a knife.

Grimm22
Did the writers at marvel even consider how much 5,000 rounds is?!?!? What the f**k?

Wolverine isnt bulletproof no expression

People continue to forget that

Rewmac
This will be the dumbest shit ever written after 43. I mean if it's stalemate or Wolverine wins I hunt down all issues and burn them.
If the comic is 2 pages long that's the real one big grin

Lucid Lui
I'm actually enjoying the story though. Apart from Logan's healing factor (and possibly jobber aura) soaring to new heights, the rest of it has been very enjoyable IMO. Much better than what we're getting over in Origins.

And seriously, i think what we'll see is Logan beating SHIELD's elite Super Human Restraint Unit all over the place, and finally SHIELD will send in Sentry and he'll beat Logan down in one panel. Much like he did to Iron Man recently.

If it doesn't go down like that, then something is seriously wrong.

Meh , I despise Wolvie stories..but then again ANYTHING is better then origins...

At least if Wolverine does anything to Sentry the Superman fan boys will finally have a leg to stand on when they say Sentry isn't so tough.

ScarletSpider
This is really more of an editorial slip-up than the writer, I think.

Sure Guggenheim, wrote the script and blew Wolverine's healing out of proportion, but over in Way's Origins--meh--Wolverine's healing hasn't been played down a little bit, more in line with how it was when he was introduced. He heals fast, but not instantenously, he's not godly.

The disparity between how the same character is being handled in those two series is ridiculous, someone needs to be coordinating shit better.

I agree. Origins may not have the best stories (so I've heard, I've yet to read it) but from what I've heard the Wolverine in that one is more akin to regular Wolverine than the god-erine we've been seeing in the last couple of Wolverine issues. The editors really need to do better

When Wolverine was first introduced he didn't have a healing factor. He was a member of Uncanny for years with out it ever being stated what his mutant ability was he just appeared to have an unknown degree of superhuman strength and insanely superhuman durability... even then he was much more impressive then current Wolverine is in Origins.

Anyway Way set some back ground for Wolverine: Origins when he was writing the normal Wolverine title. This Wolverine's healing factor is supposed to be in a slump since he has been going none stop since House of M with out any rest and very little food. And dont forget Way is the guy who wrote Venom series... I think we all remember that.

It's not the writing thats so bad , it could be MUCH better (Ie if they had Millar on the title) but it's the art which makes you want to tear the book in half , it's so stiff and unfeeling it's like comparing a cow in a field to a slab of beef on my plate.

I actually like the art in Wolverine now erm

The problem is that the writer is being played by Marvel execs to make Wolverine freakin invincible sad

Seriously, Steve Dillon is the worst artist ever. I cry every time I see an action scene drawn by him. Ramos isn't that good either, but compared to Dillon, he's Alex Ross.

Mcniven's on the title at the moment and his work is gorgeous but I'm waiting for the trade for "Old man Logan."
