He's a little unrealsitic about wanting the filmmakers to explore the psychology even more. People are also paying their money for some big action too; you have to balance the the two aspects out. When you have much more psychology than action, you have a film like The Hulk (which Geoff Pevere was a big admirer of), which didn't click that well with audiences. A comic series, you can spend several issues of Superman willingly leaving Earth; a TV series, a few episodes. But a movie has a more contained running time.
I believe the DVD will be even longer, and we'll see more about what he saw of Krypton and time back on the farm, wondering about rejoining society - I bet Martha has to prod him to do so.
