when i was trying to DRAFT despero in the tournament i said ss could likely take him. despero would never touch ss if ss didn't allow it and he's stood unscathed against moondragon with the mind gem -- a similar attack laid waste to prof x!!

despero's tp COULD be a potential problem, but i think ss would break free of its influence eventually. despero has awesome endurance, but i don't know that he could survive planet busting blasts from the ss or ss's ability to manipulate matter. i guess it's possible despero could possess him, but i don't really know the limits of that ability so it's hard to say.

you're on a despero kick, eh, uni? he's a GREAT villain. i'd love to see more of him.

Despero would have been a great tourney pick.
