Pneumonoultramicroscopicsillicovolcanoniosis.

It's a black lung cancer that's developed from inhaling volcanic ash.
Wikpedia says it's a hoax. It might be I'm not a entymologist, but I wouldn't take Wikpedia's word for it. I acquired the word through various forms of literature. That also doesn't make it fact but I would believe the written word before I believe Wikpedia, which can be changed by anyone with the IQ of a toaster.

There's technically a longer word in the english language and I think it's actually the longest in any language. However it is 100% made up.
Nathaniel Hawthorne had a word he used to describe the noise that thunder makes. It goes something like thumberrumberraummmbberra...and it goes on for a very long time. I never took the time to count all the letters because it's just too long. You might look it up sometime.

It doesn't suprise me that Nathaniel Hawthorne came up with a word like that. He used to lock himself in his attic for months at a time so he had plenty of spare time to work on little things like that.

I love that word.. big grin It is the longest word. Not made up, it is an actual word discribing, well, what the guy above said.

TheKingofKINGS!
The actually riddle is as follows.

Tink of words that end in "gry" Hungry and Angry are two of them. There are three words in the english language. Is something everyone uses every day. Everyone knows what it means. If you listened carefully I've already told you what it was.

No it is a real word.. it is a lung disease caused by the inhalation of very fine silica dust.

It isn't a hoax word... it was first intended as a hoax but it is now used for the name of the disease.. It has been in the English dictonary.. It isn't used much though because of the length and only docters would use it anyway.. they use pneumoconiosis which cuts out a large chuck of the word.
