Tienshinhan did not train at Dao Kai's platet for a year.

during the piccolo saga, most were leaning towards tenshinhan to beat piccolo, and during the martial arts tournament where goku and piccolo faced in the finals, tenshinhan almost beat goku during the semis...and if memory serves me right, tenshinhan beat goku in the tournament before that to be champion..

Go back and read how i said it. I didn't mean training means nothing, I meant training isn't everything. You have to start out with raw ability. Use piccolo as an example, in DB he was created with no training whatso ever and continued to beat goku, who had much training.
