Pedophile is the American spelling.
Paedophile is the British spelling.

Just like Pediatrics is the American spelling, while Paediatrics is the U.K./Australian spelling.

Considering our language is derived from English English, you are neither right nor wrong. We bastardized an entire language to suit our needs so both spellings are correct.
