The Canadian dance-metal punks, Death From Above 1979, revieled on their website a few days ago that they are no more. Apparently they have been planning on breaking up for about a year. They seem to have just grown. apart.

The band's bassist has a electronic project called MSTRKRFT (or something as such).

i love DFA1979, but for some reason their break up doesnt bother me in any way.

The album wasn't bad, but it's hardly like the music world will notice the loss.

My point was that D.F.A hardly contributed enough to the advancing of music for their demise to mean anything. Only those who like the band enough would care.
