tell me how -- I know I need potatos... so what do I do next ermm

Wash them and then cut them.

Get a skillet and fill it a little less that halfway full with cooking oil. Turn it on medium or medium high. them peel your potatoes. Be sure and put salt and pepper on them before you put them in the skillet.

Make fries??

Haha, you can, I copied it from a real recipe site....just forget about the throwing away part...and the McDonalds part.

do i really need to soak the potatoes in water...

I tried just cutting potatos and then frying them but it made a mess and nothing happened - the fries were all gross and not cooked through
