Today we have war, overpopulation, global warming, political instability, terrorism, an uncertain energy situation, etc.

I know that history is full of ups and downs but I don't see things getting better anytime soon.

I predict in five years we will have more of the same, or worse. I hope I'm wrong.

What's up with people being so negative about the time they live in....at least I and probably most of the people that visit this forums couldn't have it any better in any other time period we had.....

But, yeah, I doubt much will change in the next 5 years....

I always think that, too. Sure, times are shitty, but times are probably always shitty.

Well, I remember well back into the 70s and I can't remember a time in the last 30 years that was as bad or uncertain as now.

Yes, and many changes have been made to make the world a better place since then. You can't smoke in bars, you must wear a motorcycle helmet while riding a motorcycle, and you can't drink in public. Oh, that's just California, my bad.

5 years is too short a time to see much of a change, the world will be pretty much like it is just now.

I don't agree that they are. For instance, I love Star Bucks coffee, I do enjoy the occasional Big Mac, and I do think that alternative energy resources will be explored and utilized sooner than later. As far as I'm concerned, life ahead looks good. I just hope I don't get ass cancer from eating all those Big Macs.

I am not sure.

I think it is a problem that will be solved over time. I think wars against middle eastern nations are most likely the wrong way of action.
For one a fair separation of "Israel" would be nice. Although that would hardly affect terrorists in general.
Basically, I think the "first world" should stick tot he rules they have made and not just want everyone else to do so.

Hmmm, so what exactly are you trying to say?

Angela Merkel might still be Chancellor, Hillary Clinton might be Madam President. If so she'll continue the newly set Presidential tradition of trying to give the German Chancellor a sensual massage. The world will be shocked again, but also secretly strangely aroused.

Not much will change in 5 years. There'll still be rom coms for the masses to enjoy.

I get what you are saying, but to me that is propaganda. There really is nothing but situations and their outcomes in those quotes. There is no solid explanation of how to solve any problems, just a means to make people fear something that may or may not occur. I do believe that there may be a significant change in the way people live, but I don't think it will happen all at once, or in a an awe inspiring way where people will all be slapped in the face by some sort of new world order, unless of course, the meteor hits. I am a big believer in the huge meteor hitting, if I must believe in any sort of awakening.

Maybe you are not familiar with the word conspiracy, but a group of people (cheney, rumsfeld,wolfowitz) plotting to do something illegal (attacking foreign nations, creating a one world orwellian government) is a conspiracy.

True. And WWI and WWII didn't just spontaneously occur - there were trends and patterns in the lead up of both - and it seems people were aware of the danger of conflict. Perhaps not on the scale it occurred, but conflict none the less.

I don't really see any trends that indicate WWIII might just be around the corner. People say "But the US is fighting in Iraq"- my thoughts on the matter aside the response there is - so what? War is, in one form or another, a constant. For pretty much forever there has been fighting going on somewhere. Not every conflict has the ability to turn into a world war, and none currently do either. Maybe in the future, but the next five years? I doubt it.



Personally I think a one world government would be great. A federated humanity, a single state united, rather then hundreds of states concerned with their own well being more so then the species in general. Still, once again I see no trends that indicate we are on the cusp of some shadow government take over. The world hasn't changed that much, nor do I see any of the machinery that would be necessary to even get such a thing slightly of the ground.

The next five years? Phones will get a little smaller, science will come up with some new cures, computers will get a little faster. We'll get a little older. Inflation might go up. Fundamentally the world wont be unrecognizable in five years time. Things wont be markedly worse, in fact for many it will, if one looks really closely, be slightly better. But such improvement or degradation is a slow, small process, easily assimilated in the march of life and most likely will pass unnoticed. But none the less it wont have ended, or changed in such a way that would seem alien to us looking forward... things just don't work that way.

as for changes noone said the changes will be sudden, its a slow process and its going on for decades, now tell me cant you see the ever growing pace of globalization ?

first they put countries into blocks like the eu for example, remember it all started as an free trade agreement and now it transformed into a centralized dictatorship in wich bruessel dictates to the memberstates..

The EU is crippled at times by inner conflict and often is seen to lack any cohesive direction. The US, Mexico and Canada are vastly different in terms of, well, everything, and there is no sign of any unifying feature upon the horizon.

If you truly believe the divided world is on the verge of being subsumed into a single super state I fear that you are giving a wee bit much credit to the shadow forces of your NWO. Forming such a thing would be very hard, even with the necessary state machinery in place - machinery which doesn't seem to exist yet. And it would be hard to try and doing it openly without trying to hide anything. To imagine some group operating behind the scenes and somehow achieving this without causing ripples of drawing attention to themselves is unlikely to say the least.
