Just seen a short Hobbit Trailer, according to the Trailer the film is due out Dec this Year.

It looks very good, short view of Smaug. Impressive.

That Hobbit Trailer

This legend, beyond all others, has caused more excitement with fans than almost anything else I've ever seen. The folks at lathamfilm.com, a digital production house, pieced together scenes from other films to create an apparently realistic looking trailer for a film called 'The Hobbit'. Supposedly starring Ian McKellen, Ian Holm and directed by Peter Jackson, this film was set to be out in 2006. Well folks, this ain't gonna happen. Sorry to disappoint! Great trailer indeed... it looks nice But if it were real they'd use original music - heard this one often eniough before (cool song tho')
Pity it's a fake I'd love a hobbit movie

And if it was out December this year wouldn't we be seeing a lot about it already?! I can't believe people still keep believing there's a film..

So true. You wouldn't hear enough about the Hobbit movie if it did come out this year. But on the plus side NLC just got the rights to the book so a Hobbit movie may be seen in a couple years or so.

The Hobbit is probably my favourite book, at least one of my favourites. Damn a movie would be awesome...

whey didnt they make it before LOTR ?

Apparently before hand someone else held the rights to the Hobbit in movie format as it was made as a cartoon movie. Because of this rumor is that its had to go to court and be fought over in order to get the rights to make it.

Is peter jackson gonna make it ?
