Why not dammit? There are many great villains that are deserving of their own series, yet we never get to see that from either DC or Marvel.
I would love to see some good comics told from the perspective of Dr. Doom, Magneto, Apocalypse, etc...
Any thoughts as to why villains get left out of the spotlight so often? We have hero comics and dark hero comics galore, but zilch for any of the great villains.
Does anyone else think that DC and Marvel missing out on a potentially huge market?

Magneto or Doom maybe. Apocalypse would suck.
Mystique had a solo series, she was technically still a villain.

Weapon X by Frank Tieri was a great series that did this. Doom just had a mini series recently. Other villains have had one shots/minis.
They do happen.
Skeets
Deathstroke's old series was good.

I agree. I am glad that Marvel is giving the Super-Skrull a spotlight. I think that he should reform like Black Adam in DC and get his own series.

I know there are mini's, but that just gets my interest level up. By the time you really get into them it's over, and I am usually left wanting more.
There are great villains, from top to bottom tier, that would be great in a comic series of their own.
It would be nice to see them treated more like the heroes in regards to getting the spotlight all the time, that is all I am saying.

They Should Do A Brotherhood Comic. Like The X-Men.
Black Adam
why not.
just as long as they keep them Villains.
I hate the trying turn a villain into a anti hero crap.

Poor Juggernaut.
But Ye Keep them villians.

The only problem is, Who their enemies will be? Sooner or later the heroes have to get involved and thats that for the series.
Rick/Genis
Villains United was freaking awesome!!!
With the Secret Six and all that jazz
Man Catman is way cooler now!

I would, for once, like to see a series that show the villains perspective of an event. For example: you have in F4 Doom attacking them for some reason, trying to conquer the world, etc, all that by their point of view; then in Doom's series you would see the same attack by his point of view, his motivations, everything that was going through his mind at the time. That would be great.

Doom had a good series in the mid-90's - Doom 2009. The thing is, he had to be matched against very bad people so we would be on his side. It brought out some more noble parts of his personality.
Villains who are out-and-out insane killers of innocents, I couldn't follow them on a monthly basis.

Not necessarily, only if you think of conflict in black and white terms.
Evil people do evil things, even to each other.
Heroes are not constanlty fighting villains, sometimes they fight other heroes, sometimes larger cosmic or government threats as well. The same would hold true for a villain based series.
Sure there can be even be Hero appearances from time to time, I wouldn't think that excluding the other side of the coin to be a good idea. But the comic wouldn't be based on a hero perspective, events in the comic would be seen from the eyes of the villain protagonist instead.

I would love to see a Mr.Sinister comic, Doom would be great too.
