Landser
There is a song that Gandolph sings at the very beginning of the movie Fellowship of The Ring while he is on his way to Hobbiton in his cart. The only words I can hear him sing are: "The road goes ever on and on, down to the place where it comes from," Does anyone know the words to that some or how it goes? Bilbo sings the same song as he heads out the door to Rivendel.
Please let me know

You mean Gandalf?

The road goes ever on and on,
Down from the door where it began
Now far ahead the road has gone and I must follow if I can

Persuing it with eager feet
Until it meets some larger way
Where many paths and errands meet
And wither then, I cannot say

I believe is the song.
