ok people spiderman is a superhero who has weighed 165lbs then 170lbs and right now 167lbs ...............according to weight and height charts spidey is healthy but artists draw him anorecsic and scrawny ..........some writers do not even give him abdominal muscles
some artists under exaggerate his build what is spidey's build?

below is the weight height diagram spidey currently is 5ft10 and 167 lbs(almost 12 stones)

IMO Spider-man shouldn't look so bulked up. I mean he got his powers when he was bitten by a Radioactive spider.. Guys like Wolverine, Captain America and DD should have huge muscles as they need to have the muscle as they don't really have anything supernatural or stuff to back up their powers.

Though Spider-man shouldn't be Skinny either..

You must consider that he is Spidey for years he started as a teenager and after all that years of fighting his body should have much muscles.
But yes he shouldnt be to bulked.

that is my point , spideys bulid is that of an athlete , he has to have a six pac and have muscles that coudl win him a beach body competition at teh leat , most artsits draw him like he has not eaten in his life :wtf


the pictures i posted are not of him bulked up they are how some who is almost overweight from muscles (check the refernece to my grid spidey 5ft 10 & 12 stones)

i acn also post picture which exaggerate him , but this rare mostly spidey has teh bulid of an anorecsic

They should draw with buff when spidey and normal when he is Peter.

He shouldnt be too bulky, but he should have a six-pack, chest muscles, large arm muscles, and strong legs. Not like really buff, but in really good shape. I mean, a guy that can lift fifteen + tons should have large arm muscles, no?

so the pictures i posted matches him don't they tahst how he shoudl look all the time , they are not at all too bulky i have pictures which are over-exaggerated

dudes check this grid now , i have a number of charecters on it , you'd be suprised how many of the charecters are overweight from muscle

Bruce Lee anyone? He isn't bulky, but he's muscular enough. It fits with his height. and he looks cool. Just like Spiderman

He should be built, but no bigger than maybe an olympic swimmer or most gymnasts.

I dunno, some of those swimmers are pretty big. but i see what you're saying. I didn't think i'd post here, but here it goes.

They made him different sizes because of different drawers, but also because it makes him look better when he can beat on huge guys like venom and others. it makes him more agile and it also shows his age like someone mentioned before. i think he's fine the way he is, he would look too cliche if he was a huge beast that could punch someone like rhino half way across a city. (which he should be able to do anyways, i don't know of too many villians that way more than 30 tons...)

no bruce lee is to small (5ft 7 140lbs) and skinny spidey is like the build in the first four pictures i postedtehy appear extremely accurate fror a guy who is almsot fat from muscle, he is like hannibal king from blade trinity only at 5ft 10

chek the fourth pic it shows a comparison of a bulkier guy(scorpion) to spiderman , spidey looks healthy not skinny that is perfect for his build

here's a really good example he's not at all overippped

Legs bigger than arms, back as wide as shoulders...those are the rules of been in shape. What you see in Spider-Man 1 and 2 is all he's got.

I like Ult. Spider-man's appereance. He's just a kid, I'm glad they didn't make him very muscular. (He looks like a guy who exercises martial arts or something similiar)

Guy can benchpress over 10 tons. He needs a fair amount of muscle.

ultimate spiderman is disgraceful spidey build ever , i hope thier version of him when adult is much more muscular

I agree, King (Ryan Reynolds) from Blade Trinity would be just about right, as to how Spidey should be portrayed.

but he's about 6ft2 thoiugh , someone who is ryan reynolds buid at about 5ft 10 that woudl be perfect potrayal of spidey's health

They tend to draw him underweight but very built.

Yeah that's true. The only downside to Reynolds is his height. Otherwise, I reckon he'd be perfect for the Spidey role.

i think he looks to much like a jock to be parker. he doesn't look the character as well. he's kind of a comedian too.

dude the muscle mass need to bench over 2 tons would be astounding over 300 pounds of pure mucsle..

i hope tobey mguire had toned up while shooting spiderman 3 , he looked flabby and weak in the second movie

He will have a big fight in part 3.

even still teh fight coudl be cgi, spidey is not flabby he is toned with muscle with an definate six pack

When he is in his suit they can make him look as built as they want.

But who cares, really? Part of the fun od comics is allowing various artists a chance to draw a character. They'd get boring if they were drawn the same way every time.

they don't have to be drawn anorecsic , all artist art can be identifed as their art is unique , im naturally gifted at drawing (even though i am only 15) i can draw what i see with much accuracy , i can draw an almost identical copy of other artits work ,however i have a unique style aswell ....but most of the spidey artists draw spidey's build as anoresic!................the point being artist make show different interpretations of spidey without him lookin like a matchstick man with with little or no muscle , he sometimes is not even given a six pack

It all depends on the artist and how they think he should look.

yes it does , i am of sick of artists makin one of the best comicbook heroes less muscular than me .....he's a freakin superhero not a starved anorecsic

If Spider-Man can lift, say, 20 tons, that would make him about 400x stronger than the average man (avrg man can military press about 100 lbs for 1RM).

The average man's reflex and running speed is about 20 mph. If we wish to keep Spidey's speed in proportion to his strength, his reflex and running speed should be about 8000 mph (20 mph x 400), or roughly Mach 10.5.

By comparison, running 100mph now doesn't seem so fast. In fact, that, and his "only" 15x reflex speed means Spider-Man is proportionally slower than the average man (relative to his own strength).

When you can lift more then 20 tons I imagine it is rather difficult to build and maintain muscle mass.

I never had a problem with his build. I think it should be normal when he is Peter and way bigger as Spiderman.

lol , new spidey bio says spider can sprint faster than the fastest human but not superhuman (asaka powell 26.7mph) spidey would be able to run at 30 mph at ost then, so much for him being able to runn 100mph , he woudl get uotrun by dogs,captain america,cheetahs,beast,wendingo,KRAVEN & rhino!

Well done but I think the thing should be higher up one place he is in a crouched position but in the first comics he was tall he needs to go up one place

lol, teh scale is not in order from tallest to shgortest otherwhise logan(5ft3" would be at the end and sentry(6ft) before spiderman(5ft10"

not really. its more how his muscles work..

A study has shown that when in times of great stress the body can exert enormous amounts of strength. as with spidy who has the portionate strength as a spider he would be able to lift a lot. similar to how a ant can carry a leaft 100x its size.

actually spidey can run faster than 50 mph.
but i dont know if this was his limit and after his upgrades he
should be faster.

it is not in the comics but the scene shows spiderman abilities just right.

the guy says his speed is clocked at 72 mph.
reflexes faster by factor 10
and single handedly lifting 100000 pounds

and he wasnt pushing himself to his limits

wow, impressive but even still spidey having superspeed running is dismissed a lot , and that is not cannon , spidey can proably top about 30 mph which is quite fast that is roughly 48 kmph

i know it is not seen as cannon but i think it is totally possible for spidey to run at that speed not for long of course.

Spiderman has the best body build out of any superhero and villain in any comics, imo.

No Venom, or Apocalypse have the best male body build.

Like physically (body wise) who would you rather look like Venom/Apocalypse or Spiderman.

Girls won't be atracted to you phisically if you look gigantically muscular also, hehe.

Venom used to be quite large, then they over exaggerated him in the 90's.

namor's a good build not too muscular like 'wolverine'

spidey's like ryan reynolds who has a very good build anyways

30??? I'd say more like 60 or 70 mph, and I'm talking about non-upgraded Spidey...

Ahh the old comics, how I miss them.

Yeah, superheroes used to talk to themselvs much more than in the new books.

The classic villains, the cool artwork, the one off stories, villains who stayed a while, no other comic heroes getting in the way, and old spider powers and costume.
