Bendis announced that he would change the name of the Canadian superhero team to Omega Flight, and he'd have Michael Avon Oeming write it with Scott Kolins on art.

Cebulski approved the idea right then, and announced that in 2007, the team of Oeming and Kolins, who were seen together most recently on Thor: Blood Oath, would be reuniting on an ongoing Omega Flight comic.

Well as stated their mission was to talk to him, they even commented that Iron Man not do the same thing.

Ummm..this whole thing was to set up ALpha Flight for a new series, I suggest you check out Alpha Flight comics as they regularly took on skyfathers.

The original Alpha Flight had members from China, England, Japan, USA, Atlantis, etc. it didn't matter they were Canadian

BTW it's not Storm it's Talisman.

Meh, nobody on the team interests me particulary, except for the fact that Captain America is on the team in the first place.

I'm ecstatic he's on the team. I think with Thor back, Omega Flight is the perfect place for him to be.

I believe Thor will be joining the New Avengers with Captain America (unless it's Steve Rogers as The Captain in Omega Flight), so each of the three teams has a god of sorts.

Yeah I was told New Avengers will not be cancelled and will continue on going. Mighty Avengers will be appearing in februrary and Omega Flight early 2007

US Agent had a similar shield in Alpha Flight #104, but no star. I honestly don't know who it is yet

that's captain america's mask. USAgent's had more of a beaked appearance, covering the nose down to the nostrils. that's the only way i could tell the two apart in the new invaders series, besides USAgent shooting at everybody.

As to U.S.Agent's shield. True, he hasn't had a shield with a star on it since his days as Captain America, but in the Civil War: Choosing Sides one shot, the costume and shield he's using on the cover are ones he hasn't been featured in in years. In fact, the shield he's using there is one he threw into the sea, he was tired of using it and Cap's old gear, he wanted to make his own way.

I know it's a little thing, but look at the leg strap and the seam details. Those aren't featured on Cap's uniform. Without the stripes, which I'm guessing would be featured in this since they're white, this looks like an amalgamation of the Captain/USAgent costume and the Man Without A Country uniform. So this could be either U.S.Agent with an altered look, or perhaps Steve Rogers retaking his Captain mantle, or perhaps just the costume and taking back either his Nomad or Man Without a Country titles. I'd like to see John Walker on Omega Flight however. It seems like Brubaker has some great overreaching plans for Captain America, and I don't really think they'd gel with Omega Flight.
