I think a gun or poison is the least heartless, because anyone can shoot or poison someone, but it really takes a cold-hearted mofo to choke/stab someone. Whatcha think?

How about the use of a narcotic or chiking techinique that induces the locked-in syndrome that renders you unable to move or speak but keeps you aware and able to feel, see, taste smell and hear, then torture you(make you eat gross stuff, beat you, rape you etc.) until you die. Agreed, not that I would know. Actually just someone pushing a button from a remote location firing a missile is actually most heartless.
