which of these special forces units are trained the best?

The GSG 9 of course.

i vote for the SAS.

Can you really say who is the best I mean don't they all have some specialty?

yes they do. the SEALS are trained to no be seen, to secure beaches and stuff for the marines, gather intelligence, etc;
the SAS are pure killing machines.

SAS can do the lot. Covert ops, rescue missions, protection. They can pretty much survive in any climate/conditions and are generally hard as f*ck!!

this is why i voted for them.

Spetsnaz.

Thugs on the streets can kill you with a gun and no training. Not many feet away with a small knife, instantly.

Spetsnaz agents can strike critical blows with anything that has a sharp enough edge. Credit cards, paper if need be.

Thats because they're not the best trained unit. The Aussies have SAS aswell, they're hardasses too. On the list, British SAS

75th Ranger Rgt - yes, they're very well trained. at being RANGERS. They do great work on recon and rescue missions.

SAS - Trained to be great at both those things AND infiltration, close combat, search and destroy, most aspects of what you could hope for. They specialise across the board, not just in a couple things.

Other FACTS
In terms of the defination of Elite: Rangers are more elite that Special Forces, as there are only 1500 Rangers in the Regiment.

Seal posted facts. Its not that the Rangers aren't good soldiers, its that unlike what you seem to think, the SAS are indefinitely more skilled than them. I still think you can't really say who's the best because they all have there speciality, but than I'm not very in to this stuff, they showed some special dutch force (yes even we have a special unit ) who are trained to deal with terrorist or kidnapping, and they blow up the site of a house so I laughed my ass of, but later on it appeared they where succesful.

The SAS are the best. These are very intelligent special individuals not just killing machines as someone mentioned. You have to be inteligent to be able to use the array of weapons they do, speak foreign languages, have amazing patience to do certain tasks.

but the SBS was not mentioned, the British equilavent of the Navy Seals. The SAS are selected from the Army, the SBS from the Marines.

Its the experience which make the master, and the IRA were a worthy adversary.

For this reason im suprised the Isreali special forces were not mentioned in the vote, they always have to be on top form.

The Swiss army have trained some of the best soldiers in the world too and they havn't got a mention yet

Seals and SF (green berets,) go through similar training, even training at the same schools. I've done missions with Seals, SF, and SAS... They are all well trained and professional.

I think the SAS is better than the Seals. The training of SAS goes a little bit further. They train to take mather into their own hands when things go wrong.
