I think Hunters SUCK!

What the frick is soo macho about shooting a bear from many feet away? How hard is it to kick the shit out of a deer? Or how about hunting lions and other animals from far away about to go extinct?? Or better yet whales that live FAR from people and are in the WATER?

I couldn't imagine my life being so devoid of any meaning that it drives me to go out and shoot animals, if they are in their natural environment and not messing with me, why go out and mess with them? Hunting shows a total lack of appreciation of life or any sense of compassion. How can someone not see how amazing it is life even exist at all and why destroy it?
When someone claims they hunt for food I call bullshit, there is enough restaurants and grocery stores near most places.

GO WRESTLE A SHARK OR A STINGRAY without weapons you mothersucking hunters, then I would be willing to call you macho.

Anyways hunting isn't as bad as you make it out to be. I know quite a few people that hunt because they enjoy it and they do eat the meat from what they kill. Not because they want to feel "macho".

Humans have hunted animals to extinction - not to eat them- just say they could kill it with weapons from a distance, instead of destroy something with your time, be creative and make something useful. And farm animals are bred to be killed, so that's fine.

Yeah, you got it about right except for the idiot part. Are cows in danger of losing their habitat due to human encroachment? pigs? no. They coexist well with humans and will continue to propogate and expand as a species, but part of that deal is that they will die to make me a juicy steak.


Bears and shit on the other hand are not nearly so plentiful. They lose habitat everyday and their numbers continue to dwindle. Whales too. People out hunting them give no thought to the future of our wild animals.


Hunters should be rounded up and allowed to hunt each other with baseball bats with rusty nails driven through them.

So are you telling me now that not only do hunters kill these animals with guns they are also destroying their land as well and diminishing their habitat?

You do realize the majority of hunters in the USA want the animals to live so they can continue to hunt in the future. They aren't the ones looking to destroy habitats and wipe out species, you're confusing that with other groups.

Yeah, and if you look at it even another way...I know a dude that hunts with dogs. He pulls his pick-up truck over on the side of the road and lets the dogs go. The dogs chase the deer out of the woods and across the road where he's sitting on a cooler just taking pot shots all day.

Him and his friends keep the good racks and the rest just get dragged off to rot in the field. In my eyes, he's a real man.

I wasn't talking about the Inuits or the Yup'iks. They live in relative harmony with their environments as far as hunting goes. Their seal humping activities worry me a little, but that's their culture.



BTW, Inuits consider the term "eskimo" to be highly racist. I'd figure someone from Alaska would know this.

Well I think hunting endangered animals such as tigers and leopards for their fur is wrong but if people kill them for food then I think that's fine (not that I would do it myself because I love animals and I cry if I see anything die). Even though I love animals a lot I'm not a vegetarian because that's not "natural", we're omnivores so we're supposed to eat meat. So hunting them for food is fine. I don't agree with killing for sport though (such as with fox hunting in particular because the fox suffers so much).

Animals only exist to serve humans, and we only conserve them for the selfish reason that we depend on their existance for our own. If we could find a way to live without the animals they would be gone in an instant. Simple as that.

He will get over it. The guy can't bring the cat back, but should at least replace it with another. There are plenty of lonely cats facing euthanasia that could use to be adopted.

Really not the same thing as hunting a large mammal or top predator. Nowhere near the overall ecological impact. Plus like I said before, I think that kid was making the whole thing up.

Well now How did I miss this. First all Im a hunter. Ate deer jerky about 15 minutes ago and am watching the outdoor channel right now. I have hunted for many years. Its part of my heritage and its family tradition. If not for hunting many animals would soon become over populated and thus cause herd problems.(deer prime example) Sickness, lack of food ect. Not opinions but facts. Many of you folks who hate hunters living in the city or anywhere for that matter should think about the place your ass is resting on. It was once a animals habitat. If not for hunters today states wildlife divisions wouldent have money to take care of wildlife. The state of Kentucky(dept of fish and wildlife) is funded 100% from the sell of hunting and fishing licenses. FACT. Im a hunter and damn proud to be one. A hunter is responsible for Yellowstone national forest. TR. Hunters do many good things. If you think hunters are savage killers and hunting has no place then you are sadly misinformed. i would be more than happy to point you in the right direction for the facts. Not only do I hunt my wife hunts as well. I teach kids to hunt, the ones that want to learn.

Anyone using "population control" as a justification for killing animals is full of shit. Animals didn't have a problem with overpopulation before humans came along and don't need humans killing them now.

I hate it when people say that fox hunting is a sport. It would only be sport if the fox had a gun and a pack of Beagles to attack you with.
Hunting sucks. Animals were here first and have as much right if not more to be on this damned planet. You don't see them polluting the air and blowing up nuclear weapons.

Population control is a major issue for many heard animals such as deer, elk and caribou and is not BS at all. Yes because people have moved in on their land and taken away or confined them to a smaller habitat their numbers will grow to large for the space that they have so unless humans all die off they will grow to large for the heard to survive. Even without a human presence some species will grow to large because of natural environment changes or predators not in the proper ratio. Caribou will develop a natural disease that will start to kill off the heard if the numbers are large enough and if they are not killed off by predators it will spread throughout the heard.

I would think dying by natural causes like disease is better than being killed.
