Anyone who reads X-Factor knows that

to be fair, madrox's powers are defying their own definitions post-madrox LS. i said it somewhere before, but in the scene where madrox absorbs the two dupes that were flung out tryp's window, he says he got DNA samples from them. that shouldn't be possible, considering he established in the LS that he doesn't absorb physical traits from his dupes, but rather their synaptic fluxes, etc. that's why he was drunk with no blood-alcohol level, and why he appeared no different after absorbing the kwai-chang dupe...


and, on another note, i've been meaning to make this thread for months and months. i just haven't had the time or patience to sit down and scan all my issues i've got the madrox LS, all of x-factor volume dos, a bunch of AoA appearances, and still a handful of volume 1 books. the renegade dupe's first confrontation and all that. give it time, and i'll have something to add.

Another thing to take into notice is that apparently, the original Madrox was knocked out and yet the dupe still remained.

I like Madrox he's pretty awesome..he's still very versatile and useful without showy glitzy powers

in issue twelve, which i seem to have misplaced, we find out that despite tryp's telepathy, part of jamie still remembered what happened that day. part of him knew he wasn't a mutant, and part of him knew his parents were murdered. that part of him manifested itself as a dupe, who wound up blowing himself, "tryp sr." and "tryp jr." and a few stories of singularity investigations headquarters up. when the dupe died, his repressed memories came back to jamie, as he explains to doc samson here...
