ok who thinks that marvel shoudl screw teh strength system!!!!!!!!

class 100? you dont see DC lowering thier charecters whhich stupid limits like that!!

how would you have the strength rating system change?

and which charecter's strengths would you want to have increased?

i'll start

1)thing ........ class 100 if not excess

2)venom definately over class 11


3)rhino ........over 80 tons ,since nothing's ever going for him he shoudl have a little more strength maybe 90 tons

4)hulk at 90-100 tons at base strength wiythout having to be pissed

5)spiderman .....his strength is barely ever even considered(15 tons is not even noticeable) class 20 would go nicely for him

class 100 isn't a limitation at all. Quite the contrary.

i woudl atually prefer all forms of hulk to start at class 100 at calm state ,

i think ca shoudl be over 800lbs around 1600lbs which is twice as strong
and wolverine would be at least 1 ton

I hate the aspect of "limitless power". Unless its their power to have limitless power then characters should have some sort of limits. Not to say I like the way the system is, just saying

Do you know how much Thing weights and how many times Spidey had toss him like a potato bag? Spider-Man haters.

I think Marvel should just get rid of their system, since they probably won't find a good revision of it for a looong time. You've got people like Captain America who's "peak human" and lifting tons, people like Thing who's power levels go up and down crazily, etc. Just knock the system off and let us gauge the powers on our own, or publish a set DC/Marvel Strength Guide or something.

they should have the follwing catergorys for strength (press lifting potential)

regular strength..................(lift own body weight..cyclops)
engages in regular excercise..300lbs (hawkeye)
intense excercise......... 300lbs - 400lbs(punisher)
olympic athlete level ....... 400lbs - 500lbs (daredevil , kingpin)
peak human.................... 8000lbs -1600lbs (captain america)
enchnaced human............ 2000lbs-2200lbs(1ton)logan,blade
lowlevel superhuman......... 1.5-2 tons (dr.doom)
superhuman........
class1 2 tons -10tons
class2 11-25 (spiderman,venom ,lukecage)
class3 25-50(rogue /carnage)
class4 50-100(doc samsonson,strong guy, thing)
class5 100-500 (sasquatch,colossus,ironman suits)

ankur's been trying to get people to say Spidey's Class 20 for months now. I'm with you man, but let it go. It's not happening any time within the forseeable future. About a year ago, he was Cl 10 so just take your blessings and run.

as much as i would want that ,i am sure marvel woudl never do thata stehy enjoy decreasing charecters powers instaed of increasing

but my idea shows how they should rate the strength my system is much better

I haven't taken their strength ranking system seriously for decades now; not with so many of the heavyweight characters performing feats far beyond the 'limits'. Lift in 'excess' of 100 tons means what? When Thor and the Hulk have feats on a planetary level?
Over 40 years ago, the Thing was listed as being able to lift 5 tons. Just about Superman's level, when he started.
Time to revisit the high-tier guys and make adjustments.

Savage hulk does start of at 100 tons in his base state, as does prof Hulk, the only one that dosen't is grey Hulk.

Yes.

So that means Uni-powered Galactus at 100% with the GL-ring, the powercosmic, the Cyttorak ruby and the Infinity Gauntlet is class 100 too.

Strong Guy is one of only a few characters who have moved the Blob against his will. Ben has never done that.

i thought that they cheated though, doesn't a chunk of the ground come up with him. and ben is most definitely in the 100-500 level. he is on par with colossus as far as we know.

and there does come a point where the amount of strength that a character has doesn't matter, like with galactus. whether his strength is limitless or not, it doesn't matter because he hardly ever needs to use brute force,a nd he is an essential part of the universe with an unlimited power source. ie he doesn't need strength.

When I see Colossus do anything over Sasquatch I will say he is over Ben.

A handbook saying he is dosent prove crap

Oh course this is no disrespect to Colossus, I just dont see why people think he is above Thing, when I have yet to see him do a lot of stuff Ben has done
