what did jack want? (post ur opinion, im really wanting to understand this scene more)..just like any opinions you have on the 'persuade me' scene would be great. thanks.

He wants to be with Liz, pure and simple.

Jack wanted Liz to persuafe him in a sexual way lol thats what i believe. and he was actually serious. it took a while for liz to notice what jack mean..so she was stunned and left holding a laugh, meanwhile jack left holding an erection lol (sorry i know its pervi but thats what i saw lol)

i know but like what would you translate this conversation into:
elizabeth: jack, the letters, give them back.
jack: no. persuade me.
elizabeth: you do know will taught me how to handle a sword.
jack: as i said, persuade me.

and when norrington is like "curious thing..there was a time where i wouldve given anything for you to look like that while thinking about me."
^i get what that means but could anyone elaborate for me?

when liz said "u do know will taught me how to handle a sword" she meant as in a battle with jack. but jack turned that around and made it sound perverted. liz walked away laughing.

after that u see liz smiling, thats bc she was thinking about jack and how he flirts with her.

norrie said that bc he is surprised that, knowing how liz is, she didnt slap jack. instead she smiled.

thats why norrie said that he noticed that she couldnt help but smile everytime she thinks about jack

Here is what I think they are really saying.

Elizabeth: Jack, the letters give them back to me.

Jack: No persuade me.
Translation: Offer me something I want.

Liz: You know Will taught me how to handle a sword.
Translation: So it's danger you want?

Jack: As I said, persuade me.
Translation: No, it's a lot more than danger I want out of you.

Liz's face: What?.....Oh! Oh! I...I can't talk about that.

Jack realizes he just got hard.

The second time,it looked like she was about to reply,but then the look on her face was like 'Fine,I know what you mean' and she walks away smiling.

Then Norri comes up and he looks at her face and sees her smiling,he then leans against the rail and Liz tries to take the smile off her face...but can't so she turns her head away from him.

Norri then walks away with a knowing look on his face.

no! I think he's afraid that she sees that it points at her because he can't forget her (I mean she is what he wants most) but in my opinion she need not to know this because there she is going after Will and not him

yes, the Persuade Me scene is all about sex and what jack wants from Liz:

Jack: Might I inquire as how you came by these (meaning the letters of marque - notice how he is intimidating her here)
Translation: Lizzie, how in the world did you get these letters from Beckett, you little Pirate.

Elizabeth: Persuasion.
Translation: I held him at gunpoint. I have a hard time waiting for others to come to my rescue, so i took matters into my own hands.

Jack: Friendly?
Translation: I wonder if she seduced that little eunich to get these letters.

Elizabeth: Decidedly not!
Translation: no way, that little Beckett man is disgusting.

Jack: Will strikes a deal for these and upholds it with honor, yet you are the one standing here with the prize. Full Pardon granted as a privateer on the behalf of england and the East India Trading Company. As if I could be bought for such a low price.
translation: okay, will, always the honorable one makes at deal for these to return the compass..and now here you are, Liz, standing here with the papers...just how did you persuade Beckett to give these to you...I'm imagining all kinds of scenarios....

Elizabeth: Jack, the letters give them back.

Jack: NO. Persuade Me.
translation: if you persuade me in the right way, I might give them back to you, Lizzie.

Elizabeth: You do know Will taught me how to handle a sword?"
translation: Jack, if you don't give those back I may be forced to pull my sword out on you, and I'm good with it, Will taught me.

Jack: As I said, Persuade Me.
translation: ooh, I like the idea of you handling a sword, you can handle mine anytime...it's as i said..persuade me in the only way a woman can persuade a man...as hold as history.....

The look on Elizabeth's face is..she finally gets what Jack is suggesting and she is a little embarrased and a little frustrated and she is not quite sure how to respond to him...

then when we see her smiling as Norrington approaches...she is daydreaming about what jack meant "persuade me" this scene shows us that Elizabeth is not immune to Jack's charm...and that she is fond of the idea of having to persuade him...not exactly the pure little girl in love With William Turner...

"it's a curious thing" by Norrington...is Disney's way of showing us that there is something going on here...Norrie notices that Liz is having nice thoughts about Jack..and he would have given anything for her to look like that when thinking about him...because it is a look of "OMG, I am falling for this man"....and Norrie also notices that she has unconditional faith in jack...she is so falling for Jack that she will believe anything he tells her....

its also about Liz actually wanting it too IMO..she's the one who made him respond like that and she did it in a deliberate sexy, suggestive way to him..and she bit off more than she could chew because THIS time Jack was very serious and in her face..he had just picked up on the fact that Liz is actually suggesting she have sex with HIM for once lmao...she then smiled after the "aftershock"..its a "pleasent surprise" to her now that Jack has just stepped up the level IMO.

This could be true.

Remember at the end of the first movie where Jack says, "Elizabeth, it would never have worked out between us darling"? Up until a few weeks ago, I thought that he said that (in front of the navy and her father and Will) in order to embarass her, i.e. revenge for burning the rum.

Then on the autocommentary, Johnny Depp laughs at that point and says, "He actually believes it" and that he was saying they couldn't be together because she was so honest.

also i think Liz kinda knows what Jack is talking about earlier, and not just at the very end. when she says "You do know Will taught me how to handle a sword," i think she means it in a serious way but also in a joking/ sexual innuendo way to Jack.

its a seduction game basically. Who will first fall into the sex trap.
