I'll tell you some of my experiences. They first sell many versions about something. Through the process that may take years they improve its contain for you to keep buying them...more scenes, more features, the real thing, etc. They also offer incomplete sets for you to worry about or become desperate. Aspect ratio differs for unknown reasons. Most releases are not originally transfered from the film but studio tapes. As an Anime lover I could never get a single release uncut or unedited...violence from all, they're saints! Some bring a brochure inside, unable to detect whether is it the disc loose as in most cases. Any comments?
