But would he be able to deactivate Infinity being's power?

Keep in mind that in Infinity being's power lies also the power of the Ego gem.

LT could effortlessly deactivate the IG, one gem doesn't make much of a difference.

Well he couldn't effortlessly do it, he stated it would take a battle which would destroy the universe to do so; and that was to only take the IG from AW.

The Infinite being on the other hand, no one truly knows how powerful it is, as it is the being that existed before it divided itself to pieces, so think of all the IG's throughout all the megaverse, all as one sentient being.

There's not enough information on the Infinity Being to make a decision on this. He could be below the LT's level or he could be responsible for his creation. It's never been fully explained at this point.

The TOAA appointed the LT to oversee the Marvel megaverse. I'm sure he has been given enough power to deal with any cosmic entity..and any threat short of the HOTU.

But the IG is among my favorite things in comics, and I have all of it's appearences. So I know quite a bit about that particular artifact.
