Hmm...not the response I was expecting.
I guess you must luv Vegeta. I had a friend who was a big Dragon Ball Z head.
Um... what does this mean? -> (\(O_O) confused
So what's your favorite part of the show?
XxILuvVegetaxX
Not so much...I was quite into it when I was a kid...just at the time this is the only sn I could come up w/, w/ my genius =_=;; I mean I guess there's not much to say about the show...its pretty much the same format each friday...opening monologue, interview, then debate, then new rules...not much to talk about I guess
A raised hand...XD
I guess I would say the debates, then new rules. I like watching his show basically, because I tend to agree w/ a lot with what he says, and people, at least I don't think most, don't tend to hold back their views and are able to have an open discussion. I'm looking foward to this week's upcoming show in DC~! ^O^
Dr. Strangelove
It's a really good show. Nobody does Bush jokes like Maher.
I have this fantasy that Triumph The Insult Comic Dog and Geraldo would be part of the panel. If that every happened, the comedy would be limitless.
RZA
^ Dude, did you know someone stole your user name. Now there's another guy calling himself Dr. Strangelove too. I dunno about you but it kinda pisses me off.
Yeah, I luv how he rips into Bush and 'new rules' is pretty funny too.
Triumph The Insult Comic Dog and Geraldo

that would make for a really funny and insane panel. Might as well throw in Weird Al and Carrot Top too.
I would like to see either Chris Rock or Dave Chappelle make an appearance on the panel. Wait, actually I think Chris Rock already did right? Oh, I also think Howard Stern would make for an interesting panelist too.

Yeah, I'm looking forward to that too. Do you know who his panelists will be?
XxILuvVegetaxX
Well...I went to the main site, and this is what I got:
RZA
Oh God not her again -> Rep. Ileana Ros-Lehtinen (R-FL)...
She was so annoying last time, I can't believe he would invite her back. I hope she gets made a fool of again.
The rest of the panel sounds good and I'm sure there will be some cool surprises, can't wait.
XxILuvVegetaxX
*nods* Well...I dont tend to like most of the republicans that come on the panel anyways x_x;; Seems like John Kerry is going to be joining via satellite as well.
RZA
Robin Williams was going insane tonight, more than usual. Bill couldn't get him to shut the hell up long enough to do his jokes.
alic88
Yeah I hated Robin Williams on his show.. I love Bill Maher though.. he knows his balance between humor and serious political issues..
RZA
^
Whoa dude! Are you really in Pakistan? Cool!
Tonight's show was pretty hectic. That lady who ever she was, really got into Bill's face...lol...it was pretty funny watching them go at it and Ben Affleck trying to play peacemaker. Was this like the hundredth time he's been on the show?
Lou Dobbs kept going on about illegal immigration. I still remember Bill's joke about that in an old episode. He said...'The only way we can really stop illegal immigration is to arm Lou Dobbs!'
office jesus
xD. I love watching Republicans and Democrats argue. It's mildly entertaining when Bill can't even get a word in because of the bickering.
RZA
It was truly refreshing to see someone like Barney Frank once again on the program answering questions truthfully, honestly and directly and not allowing other panelists to twist his words or logic.
I love how he would give a straight forward answer to every question and how he clearly and very precisely addressed each topic in a way that showed he was well informed on the actual issues.
Why can't someone like him run for President?
Seriously, why is it that every election year it seems that Americans are given a choice between a turd and a douche and then people wonder why a good percentage of the population feel apathetic or disenfranchised and just refuse to vote? We need better choices plain and simple.
XxILuvVegetaxX
*sighs* The season finale is today ;_; I dont want it to end~ its one my favorite shows >_< I hate waiting until a new season comes by...
Omegaman
He's an idiot...how did this guy get another show after the last one was cancelled??? I would love to be in the audience and give him a hard time after everything he says!! He's a class A JERK.....anybody who would wear a "steve irwin" costume is a JERK! His supporting audience are nothing but mindless sheep! I bet they actually hold up signs for the audience and tell them when to "boo" the guests who dont agree with him!

I watch it, I love it because he targets both parties and calls them out on their failures. He is probably the most impartial and objective political commentator out there.

I would sacrifice my left nut to punch Bill Maher in the face, I can't stand him. I love when the Democrats took over house or whatever and he actually took credit for it. Yes, the Democrats took over because everyone listened to Bill Maher on his shit HBO show at 1am, it had nothing to do with the Republicans ****ing up.
Starhawk
Please tell me which show he did that because I watch every one of them and he never said anything like that.
LORDSIDIOUS01
I am not a fan of Bill Maher. He is a second rate Howard Stern. He thinks he knows everything but he does not.

Right, because I'm completely making it up. It was the show right after the Democrats took over.
Starhawk
No I have that show recorded and no he never claimed to be responsible for the democratic win.

I am neither republican nor democrat. I stated a very true fact about Maher. Since he know everything, then why doesn't he become governor or the next president?

Yea, sure ya do. Watch it again, because if its not that show, its the ep. after that, but I can assure you he did say that.

Ya, you can't even remember which episode it was. He did not say that. And he also never claimed to know everything as that other poster claims.
wuTa
Yea, ok, he didn't say that, I made it up, because that's what I do. I go around looking for Bill Maher threads so I can make him look arrogant, conceded, and obnixous, I mean God knows he doesn't do that all on his own.
Starhawk
Again, I have watched every episode and he doesn't.

Since when does Maher claim to know everything or be responsible for the Democrats winning Congress? NEVER.
Truth is, he's a smart, VERY opinionated guy who can be pretty funny and at the very least makes you look at things from his side of the left. I happen to agree with a lot of what he says, but that's only until I hear something better. (Happens more theses days)

Actually he does fall to the right on allot of issues as well. He's the best kind of moderate.

I sometimes get very pis sed off by watching Real Time. If you think of it,on Friday, Frank Lutz made some excellent comments. " We know what you stand against, but what do you stand for?" in terms of Democrats. I thought that was a very legitimate and thoughtful question, and Bill Maher immediately shut him out by saying that when the opposing party craps on politics this much, you can only stand against. All the Republican conservative criticism is getting a bit too much, the SAME points are being repeated week after week after week. Whats even more disappointing is the fact that no matter how repetiive the liberal points of arguement get, the audience are so dumb that they'll clap for it anytime. And anytime a right-wing guy will try to say something that is different from all the Bush bashing and actually concentrates on what needs to be done, how the Democrats can win the party, the audience boo's the person. Dont you think its getting a bit too much to handle?
Paula Poundstone added absolutely nothing to the show, it was ridiculous. And I loved how when Maher was saying about the " are you F-ING KIDDING ME PRESIDENT" and Frank Lutz replied by saying thaat the " ARE YOU F-IN KIDDING ME" presidents that the Democrats haven't been able to beat. Why cant we have a proper discussion as to how Democrats need to tackle the conversative policies, how they can win the election this time around, their stance on policies? Instead we get an hour of Bush bashing which is getting so tiresome that I cant stand it.

I am a republican and I love the Bill Maher show, cause I always enjoy a good mixture of politics/humor.
But I think Maher's show has gotten stale cause every week it is the same joke: Bush is a ****in idiot, Religion is the devil, and now we are going to talk for the next 40 minutes on why Bush/Cheney/Tenet lied to us about getting ourselves into war.
Because of this, very few republicans go on anymore, so you a slanted liberal audience with two of the three guests having liberal views and they all just pounce on the lone republican who dares come on. Even Luntz was making a joke about getting lambasted before the first topic was even brought up!
Politically Incorrect was alot better when Maher had 4 panelists, and usually was able to split between 2 Republicans and 2 democrats, and you would get a mixture of good debate and funny anecdotes. It is such a shame cause 'New Rules' is great, and when there is a balance of arguments on the show, which is rare, it is entertaining as hell, and a good comedian like Dana Carvey, who was on a couple of weeks ago, can keep everything light. Now it is just **** Bush, **** Cheney, get us out of Iraq. As a republican, I actually agree with ya Bill, OK now talk about how we should get out of Iraq every week instead of how we screwed up to get there!
