Mark Of The Wolf
It is the year 2006, California. Everyone has normal lives. No boogymen, no monsters under the bed. Nothing to worry about at all. Or so they thought.
Dark monsters are everywhere, from giant venimous spiders to the elusive vampires. They may look like humans, or they may not. But they exist...all over the world.
This story is about one type of those creatures: werewolves. They have packs all over the world (although a lot of them migrate to America). The many packs are divided into two tribes. They are the destined and the marked.

The Destined: The destined are the "good" werewolves. They are called "The Destined" because they believe it is their destiny to shape a world where werewolves and humans can live together. They are mortal enemies of the marked

The Marked: They are called "The Marked" because the curse in them has turned the evil in their hearts into a physical manifistation, in the form of a mark of pure evil on the back of their neck. This mark can take many shapes, but always emits a dark "light". They want to eradicate the humans and the destined (and rule the earth).

The Lost: For those who aren't influenced by either side, or discover heir curse with no one to guide them. "The Lost" are loners.

There are five forms a werewolf can change into at will: Human, near human, hybrid, near wolf, and wolf.
Human: When werewolfs need to blend in.
Near Human: Taller and more muscular than their human form, usually with sharper teeth. This form provides enhanced strength and senses (although not as much as hybrid and near wolf), along with human flexibility and no overwelming animal instincts. A clever werewolf can live among humans in this form.
Near Wolf: Mostly wolf, but nearly four times as large. This form provides great speed and strength, but no human flexibility (eg. Opposible thumbs)
Wolf: Usually used for stealth purposes.
Hybrid: The most powerful form. A perfect half n' half mix of human and wolf. Stronger than any of the other forms, it is also the most uncontrollable. Even though a werewolf still keeps his/her mind, rage and bloodlust are multiplied 10 fold. Most first time changers take this form when they change.

There are two races of werewolf. Afflicted and pureborn.
Afflicted are bitten and pure born are born with the curse. After being bitten, one can change up to a week later. A pureborn usually has his/her first change between puberty and about 30. For both, the first change is usually an uncontrollable rampage. There is virtually no difference between the two.
You can play as either a human that has just been bitten, or a pureborn just prior to change. After a change, the local pack finds the new werewolf and admits them into the pack. Sometimes a marked pack and a destined pack go after the same werewolf at the same time.

Weapon(s): In her wolf form she has incredible strength. Her bone crushing jaws, dagger like teeth, and strong as steel claws are all she needs to survive. In her human form she's armed only with hand to hand combat skills and a few combat knives.

Personality: Although Rayg is a quite and often peaceful looking creature, she is anything but. Blood and destruction bring her satisfaction, and fighting is what she's best at. Despite her seemingly evil personality, she's no fool. She won't ever pick a fight, but she can dish out more than that.

Bio: Rayg was raised by wolves as a pup untill a deadly disease ravaged her pack. Everyone was killed off except for her due to the fact that she was no ordinary wolf. As time went on she survived in the forest, killing to stay alive. Her story is long and complicated, so maybe I'll get into it more during the RP.

personality: not incredibly hostile but easily offended. He takes any lip from humans as disrespect and always wants to hunt them down. He thinks that he is better than all humans because of his gift. He highly respects other werewolves and is actually a very outgoing person.

Himion was born in an average household with the disease but it stayed dormant until he was seven years old. When he transformed, he killed his parents and ran out to the woods where he was found by a group of the marked. They took him in and ever since then, even though he felt miserable for the death of his parents, he also felt destined to kill all of the humans. He thinks that it would be making the world a stronger place. When he is away from his tribe, he usually hangs out in restauraunts and occasionaly sneaks in to bars because of his older scruffy kind of look (which has happened from being a werewolf.) He doesn't pick fights but as I said before, is easily offended and uses his gift to destroy all who oppose him.

Human- Asa is tall, bony, and a bit lanky. She has wavy, fiery red hair paired with bright green eyes and an ambitious smirk.
Werewolf- In her wolf form, she's scrawny under a mix of ginger and gray fur.

Weapon: She carries a small dagger, but usually finds her fists more useful.

Personality: Headstrong, with uncontrollable raging emotions and aggression is probably the easiest way to describe her. Asa is usually merciless and quite sadistic when she hunts. She's known for playing with her food before fully enjoying it. Defensive against those in her pack and others, Asa feels she has to show her strength since she isn't pure born.

Bio: Asa lived a normal, boring life. Wake up. Go to school. Go to work. Go to bed. Repeat. Living on her own in a run down apartment complex, she ended up walking everywhere she went. Asa found new shortcuts to and from everywhere, most including back alleys. Everything changed about two weeks ago when she was walking to her job from school. She had walked this route everyday and never had she had any trouble with people... or animals. But there it was, almost as if it had been waiting for her. Asa rounded a corner and came face to face with a werewolf. Of course at the time, she just thought it was just an over sized angry dog and slowly backed away from it, getting ready to run out of instinct....
Asa couldn't tell you much of what happened. A growl, and then she found herself lying on a couch in a dark room with a painful bite wound maybe an hour or so later. Frightened and confused, Asa hurriedly went for the door, but was stopped by a mysterious man who gently led her back to the couch, sat her down and told her everything, no matter how much Asa didn't believe him. But after a restless night of raging aggression, and the bite mark as evidence, she had no other choice but to believe everything he had said to her. She now continues to find more people, or werewolves rather, befriending the marked and gaining enemies of the destined.

Phayte is your typical loner. He belongs to no certain pack and doesn't plan on joining either. He takes no part in their affairs, staying and keeping to himself. He finds it rather hard to stay away from the beings that roam there. Some manage to catch his eye as interesting. These few beings are stalked by him until he looses interest and will quickly target another. A part of him, though he refuses to admit it, yearns for the companionship of another like himself. He finds his own mentality lost. He is not a human, and not really a werewolf. He clings to the mortal side of him. He keeps his morals and memories close to his heart. Remembering the life he had before he became a monster makes him weep at night. His heart is at a constant breaking point whenever he remembers that horrid evening when his life changed forever. Perhaps this pain seperates him from the other lycan. He is perfectly content to stay on the outskirts of their territory. Forever concealed in the shadows. If ever found, he bolts away into the night and can never be caught with his smooth gait and ghostly movement. Though a werewolf, he moves like a cat. He isn't one that looses himself completely during the full moon. Flashbacks of previous encounters rips at his eyes and will cause him to flee into a solitary place. His heart still yearns for the life he had before he became what he is. He begs to return to what he was and be with the kin he found to be his true loves. If only he could take that night back. And with these regrets, he carries a heart of sorrows and a soul of darkness. Forever fighting the monster side of him, and perhaps seeking a cure to this nightmare...

Bio: Due to an incident 4 years ago , he hates himself. Although till today no human know what happened to the village he used to live except that the village is now deserted and all the villagers are gruesomely killed . He was the only survival, or that he was involved, but he was the cause . It was fullmoon at night when he becomes 10 years old, his wild werewolf instinct suddenly kick in and he lost control, killing every person in the village, including his parents and siblings . Ever since that day, he vow that he will try to cover up his sin by doing good deed . He is still afraid of his own werewolf form although he had already manage to control himself . For some reasons, he could onlychange into human or hybrid werewolf .
