3. Meggan at Full potential
(She can Harness the Power of Earth, Otherworld and all of the Beyond 'True Beyonders')

To try and Stop the Chaos Wave,

Meggan had to harness the Power of the Beyonders, as she entered the RIFT (Inside the opening in the Wall of Omniversal Causality)

In addition, the wearer could attack others by teleporting them to other locales or rendering an opponent in motion unable to stop or move, as well as protect the wearer from similar attacks.

The Ego Gem, also called the Dimensional Gem, granted its wearer the ability to travel between dimensions in the multiverse and omniverse, as well as detect and control the energies found in the chronal and dimensional stream. Using these energies, the wearer could banish opponents to other dimensions or force other-dimensional beings to return home, as well as summon other beings. The wearer can also see and attack beings in bordering dimensions, like the Ethereal or Astral. The wearer could use the surface of the Dimensional Gem as a scrying pool and peer into other dimensions, but its most important function was that this gem contained most of the consciousness of Infiniti, who would later be reborn as Nemesis (V), until defeated by the Avengers and Ultraforce.

The Power Gem granted its wearer powerful strength, up to 1000-tons, powerful energy blasts capable of doing different types of energy damage, and the ability to locate the weaknesses of beings and objects. In addition, the wearer would also gain an enhanced physique capable of withstanding much damage, as well as a strengthened nervous system capable of ignoring vast amounts of pain.

The Reality Gem allowed it's user to bend reality to their whim, in addition to providing protection against reality-based attacks. With the gem the user could create new beings or affect existing beings or objects. While not powerful enough to affect Cosmic Entities on its own, when the different gems are brought together, the combined powers of the gems increase. The ability of the Reality Gem itself would be just below the ability of an evolved Cosmic Cube.

The Soul Gem allows its wearer to affect the souls of others, as well as the wearer itself. With the gem, the wearer can drain the lifeforce of others and imprison it inside an extradimensional pocket within the gem called Soul World, where all the imprisoned psyches are usually under the control of the wearer. The wearer can tap the psyches to gain memories and skills possessed by those within Soul World. In addition, the gem protects the wearer from soul-based attacks, as well as the attacks of Ethereal beings. With the gem, the wearer can affect Ethereal beings as if they are normal opponents, and the user can fire an energy attack that hurts a being's soul, causing intense and crippling pain. The wearer can also peer into the darkest corners of an opponent's mind to see their destiny in life and the weaknesses of their character.

To preserve my sanity I ignore the whole mess. If pressed to give an explanation I would say this: there is a history of mortal beings taking on vast powers and erroneously believing they are omnipotent(Doom in Secret Wars 1, Beyonder in Secret Wars 3, Warlock and Thanos in Infinity Gauntlet).

Perhaps Protege believes he is omnipotent, but because he cannot even sense what is happening after having a hood thrown over his head, clearly his Cosmic Awareness is still paltry if not non-existent. Clearly he has not absorbed the powers of the LT, perhaps he has absorbed an iota of an iota. Therefore, in conclusion, we are not seeing a Celestial restraining someone who is more powerful than the LT, let alone TOAA"

Ok Mr. M, I've been giving this a lot of thought, and I don't think that Galactus was at FULL power during the couple seconds after he absorbed his 'World Ship' during the Secret Wars. Think about it, the Beyonder's recton established that Eternity was more powerful than the Beyonder, right? And at full power, Galactus=Eternity, right? Well Doom(with all that power from Galactus) got his ass kicked by the Beyonder. So it seems logical that at full power, Galactus would be even MORE powerful than he was for the couple of seconds in the Secret War. Now I'm sure that instance was the CLOSEST we've seen of him being at full power, but given all the evidence, I doubt that he was ACTUALLY at full power.

So what'cha think?

the Retcon did not exist when the feat was performed, it wasn't even thought of.

Initially, everything the Beyonder did in his PRE retcon era, was legit, as you know that's why threads with the title PRE-Retcon Beyonder versus "whoever" exist.

Between May 1984 and November 1986, Beyonder was exactly what we all thought, the Retcon issue came out and his history was changed.

Galactus's Ship has perhaps the greatest Energy Stores in the Universe, and the bottom line is, Doom became one with the Universe On Panel.

Oh, I'm not trying to downplay the amount of power Doom had, or say that full power Galactus DOESN'T=Eternity. I'm pointing out that the recton inadvertently rectoned Galactus, because now it's been established that the level of power Doom absorbed COULDN'T have been Galactus's max, because it was insufficient for the task of taking down the Beyonder. It may have been CLOSE to his max, but the recton raised the bar so to speak. Captain Mar-Vell was in a sense 'One with the Universe' because of his universal omniscience, but that hardly makes him equal to Eternity.

I could understand ignoring the incident, if there were ABSOLUTELY no way to explain it, but there is...Galactus was nearly at full power but not quite. Which is why Doom lost.

How was Eternity (FP Galactus) going to defeat him?

Your still mentioning the ret-con but it had NOTHING to do with these characters at the time.

The Ret-con was FORCED into the Beyonder's History YEARS AFTER Secret Wars the First seires. even Years after the Second series.

Beyonder was ret-conned in 1990. NOT Galactus.

That's why the Beyonder ret-con is a stupid one that should have been left alone.

Even in the issue he was Retconned, FF#319, in 1990, had Beyonder as a Universe, not as powerful as Eternity but a Universe nontheless.

Cosmic Cubes (like Kubik) supposedly are pocket universe at best, yet we have a "Half Cosmic Cube" made out of a Universe and Kubik comes along and Warps that entire Universe into a sphere the size of his hand.

SO I guess they must of Retconned that too, because Kosmos (Owen Reece and the Beyonder) was Kubik's equal.

Then Kosmos separates from Owen but stays with the essence of the Beyonder inside.
Then another Retcon, we Now learn that Beyonder's Essence can collapse the Multi-verse, so go figure.

Kosmos takes on Mortal Form as the Maker, Now another retcon, the Once Universe turned into a Half Cosmic Cube that became Kosmos that if dies folds the Multi-verse has become Mortal with the power to implode the Universe but is insane and vulnerable in it's Mortal Form.

The Maker can still collapse Reality if it were to die, Thanos knows this and puts the Maker in a catatonic state, the essence of the Beyonder trapped safely inside.

ANd that's it for now.

I'ma my cousins house so I don't have my scans, but by the way Marvel being one with the Universe and Doom controlling ALL Reality of the Universe are two completely different things.

Doom wasn't only ONE with the Universe, he was showing Molecule Man the Fabric of Reality on like another Plane of existence it seemed.

The scans are some pages back, read them and see that Doom was Eternity basically, or was able to do whatever he wished with the Universe.

Hey, I know that rectons often cause problems, and are generally a BAD idea. And I know that no one MEANT to recton Galactus(that's why I said it happened inadvertantly), but the Beyonder's recton DID(even if it was by accident).

I hear that,

Galactus is meant to be Eternity though, many times he has referred to his next step in evolution to be a Universe. Last Planet Standing, though non canon, was solely based on that concept.

There were other factors that made it non canon but the Galactus idea of him becoming iether the next Eternity or an Eternity all his own has been metioned in the past ample times.

Anyways PM me, on further ideas involving this issue.

Even after absorbing every being on Earth including alternate Avengers from that Universe, a Celestial that was judging the planet and several Cosmics like the Stranger and others,

I have an issue with the Goblin Force, it's an obscure character seldom seen.

I flipped really quick through the pages and wasn't to impressed, I'll read the issue thoroughly though and come back on that.

I'm catching up to Jamie now, since I been thouroughly reading anything involving Captain Britain titles lately, they play the game on an Omniversal scale over there frequently, I just love the exaggeration.

Regarding the Living Tribunal, I heard it was retconned in one Quasar issue that the "True" LT has never been seen, and all that has been seen are M-bodies which are avatars that only contain a small amount of his power, for example when Thanos absorbed the LT he really just absorbed an M - body, and the true LT could easily defeat HOTU Thanos.

Shuma - Gorath has repeatedly threatened to destroy the entire universe. Zom was so powerful that Eternity and Dormammu combined were afraid of him and even the Living Tribunal was worried (not for himself, but for the damage Zom could do across the multiverse that he was supposed to stop).

So he was speaking of ONE Reality, One Actuality, One Multi-verse.


The Writer of the End is Jim Starlin, the same guy that made the Infinity Gauntlet series, ALL of them.

You see how far he took the IG, it took over Eternity and became the Universe, Jim was aiming at surpassing that with the End series, No way that was a single universe, and the evidence point to the same.

It's true each of them are equal to Galactus in power, but they're not essential to the Universe like Galactus, (like they die, they die, but if Big G dies then the Multi-verse dies, eventually at the hands of Abraxas)

But my list is based on Power output not Essentiality, so my babbling is meaningless.

All three should be below Lord Chaos, Master Order and White Phoenix of the Crown, somewhere mixed in with the other Abstracts, that's a foggy area though so its hard to judge the lower Abstract levels.

Dr. Strange got Handled like a child with PREP and ALL of his Talismans Together as ONE versus the Power Gem ALONE. (the Eye of Agamotto was one of the Talismans)

I should of never included that Scene with the rest of the Abstracts, because it includes Galactus, and Big G along with the Stranger are among the lowest Abstracts in the Power Output department.

So even if Agamotto would be able to handle Galactus, Galactus is small beans in comparison with the rest.

Ok, after thoroughly researching the issue I found out several interesting facts.

To begin with What if's suck.

I will prove this conclusively..

Secondly, Korvac was not the mastermind of this issue, machinations far beyond even his scope were at work in helping him survive LT's assault.

This is the big moment of surprise and disappointment for all who thought Korvac was more powerful than LT.

Let's do it.

First ALL the positive showings of the issue, then I'll post the rediculousness of a What if comic.


First:

Korvac Absorbs ALL the power of these SIX cosmics, he had already absorbed Galactus's world ship, that gave him instant near-omnipotent power.

Meggan wasnt harnessing the power of the Beyonders, she was harnessing the ambient energies on the other side of the rift as stated, the energies BEYOND 616. You have no justification to say that that was the energies of the Beyonders. The Beyonders of current continuity exist in a dimension adjacent to the Negative Zone, they do NOT encompass everything that is beyond therefore you cant soeculate and try to make out that Meggan was using their power to stop the chaos wave.

Incredibly flawed hierarchy and you know it. Just an attempt to place Phoenix as low down in the hierarchy as you can make her without looking blatantly biased.

Phoenix, comparingly hasn't had the showings nor written proof that places her above the other abstract forces such as LT, Death, Eternity, FP Galactus etc... anything other than that is pure speculation. The term primal force of creation has been thrown around alot.. with the likes of eternity, nemesis, The HOTU, etc..
