How?

General G
How was the Alliance able to get all of their ships, all of their weapons, everything enough to challenge the Empire, especially in number 6, where did they get the credits (money)?

Also, how were all of those annoying ewoks and some rebel soldiers able to take out an entire legion of the emperor's best troops? it just doesn't seem right. They should be a lot better trained then how they showed us that they were.

I am not in the mood to discuss Lucas's major plotholes... laughing out loud

Tangible God
The Alliance either stole those ships using spies, agents etc., were given them by defected Imperials or sympathetic planets or organizations, or occasionally built them themselves.

As for the Ewoks beating the Stormtroopers... well, I guess there's a weak spot and the neck and elbow joints in their armor.

queeq
Explanations are boring... Probaly there's some `OUter Rim supplier.

jenzie
just imagine the queue at the petrol station .....

Whatever... Dantooine

Aren't most of the Alliances Star Destroyers supposed to be Mon Calamarian?

The fish people are major Rebels, they're entire planet supports the cause.

The small fighter craft are made from Correllia, and either given to the rebels for free, or purchased by credits given in support for the cause or stolen by the rebels.

queeq
So they collect support here and there.

General G
That could probably work.

Darth Subjekt
Well to hear lucas tell it, if you look back on history, the lower tech civilizations were the ones winning wars, ie the fall of the roman empire, Vietnam kicking our ass, even our Revolutionary War. So the concept of a primitive people defeating a technological giant appealed to him. And you forget that the alliance was started by Senators with lots of money, and rich homeworlds. Bail had money, and must have been some type of King if Leia was a "Princess", and Padme and her connections with the Naboo royal house...not as much resources as the Empire, but not bad for an underground rebellion.

And then by 6, they were prolly gaining more support and would get whatever people left behind or gave them. I'm also thinking maybe some of them took some kind of money from Tattoine after they killed Jabba.

queeq
And despite of the impression the PT gives us, the SW universe must be rather big.

sithsaber408
confused

Doesn't the PT expand the SW universe and make it bigger?

queeq
You think???? Suddenly everybody knows each other or is directly connected to one another... I call that minute!

Darth Subjekt
Its like a neighborhood in the rural northeast. Or like the bar Cheers, everybody klows your name.

Darth Scythe
Has anyone ever noticed Wookies never fought alongside the Alliance/New Rep in any battles except for the raid on the Maw in Champions of the Force? What gives?

Sounds like Cooper's Crossing from Flying Doctors.

Ushgarak
The PT made the Galaxy look much larger than the OT ever did.

And the Rebellion is labelled as a Civil War. The Rebels must be being actively supplied by planets.

And once the Senate was dissolved- something that was MEANT to be replaced by the Death Star- the Rebels were on the up and up; all those pissed off planets would have been helping them.

Leave it to Ush.

Stil... that fact that suddenly EVERYONE is connected, makes it a small place.

once upon a time Chewbacca was just an unknown co-pilot of an unknown smuggler's ship, the PT made him a buddy of OB1's colleague and future mentor of Luke.
Once upon a time Boba Fett was the most awesome bounty hunter of the universe, now he's a Stormtrooper, whose daddy got killed by Ob1's colleague...
It's a small universe after all...
It's a small universe after all...
It's a small universe after all...
It's a small universe after aaaaaaaaaaaaaall...
