Ok so Link in OOT as an adult, with ONLY his sword, nothing else, vs Snake with NOTHING except his sneaking suit and codec.

So Link with only the master sword vs unarmed Snake.

Link's over-rated'ness will give him the win.

Though in all seriousness, can't Snake move like, uber fast? If so he can just snap Link's neck...

Well he can move fast at some times, but normally he can't move uber fast. However he can react and keep up with uber fast people.

I think, since he dodged Fox sword moves, he could possibly overcome Link's strikes and disarm him, then kick his ass.


And Link is only "overrated" because he has his equipment, here he hasn't.

I must say Snake CAN move uber fast, otherwise he wouldn't have been able to run from Raven's aim and to dodge bullets after they are fired.
Anyway, no equipment for Link, Snake for the win.

He can do things like that uber fast, but he doesn't really move normally that fast. I mean, we never see Snake running like through a hallway that fast, he just completes some stunts very fast. He is just a human after all....

Wait, I gotta explain this better. Like for example, Snake can dodge a bullet even when it is in motion, however, the fight would not end up like this.
"Start. Snake has run up to Link and broken his neck before he reacts". Snake still moves almost like a normal human being...

Well I agree that it would be close. But Snake wins by good reflexes and cunning.

I see what you mean but i think Snake doesn't usually move fast because he doesn't have to, when he's sneaking somewhere running fast is needless.
Since there is comicbooks forum on this site as well i'll use example of Captain America. He once said he can run 60miles/hour and he did that when he had too, but he doesn't usualy run this fast... anyway.
Superhuman durability, superhuman relexes, superhuman strength...
Snake is anything but normal human. And sword alone wont do Link any good. He's not getting his neck snapped in a second ofcourse, but eventually Snake will cut his throat with his own blade.

Cool, if that was true then I guess Snake could move fast when he wanted to. Snake is a human, but he is at the peak of physical condition, a human couldn't get any better. He is even better than what seems possible at some points (like him jumping over 10m, dodging fired bullets etc.).

However, Link is a good swordsman. In ALTTP, he took his fathers sword when he died, and he cut down trained knights, even as much as 3 at once, alone. That was possibly the first time he ever wielded a sword. He has beaten many people, some was claimed to be the best swordsmen ever, etc. However, seeing as Snake beat Fox, I belive Snake takes this.

What is the setting for this battle? Snakes chances will be greatly increased if its in a jungle.
