How is this a spite thread?

Probably Ares. Superman goes down first and Thor goes last. I see Thor as equal to Wonder Woman and Ares has smacked her around pretty easily so there's no reason why he couldn't do the same to Thor.

The first time, she lasso'd him and caused him to freak out. More recently she cleaved his skull in two, but he planned to die.
