Dark Jedi used to be Jedi, and Sith are their descendants.

Lord Melkor
Dark Jedi would either mean a fallen Jedi or just any Darksider trained in Jedi arts( Lightsaber etc.)

Sith are the order of force users that have studied the Darkside for millenia.

Sith Lord would usually own any mere "Dark Jedi".

Blue_Hefner
Oh, so Kaan would beat Revan or Malak? I doubt it.

I always assumed Revan and Malak were Sith Lords....

Tangible God
They were Jedi that became Dark Jedi that became Sith Lords. They only became Sith because of their findings on Sith teachings on Malachor and Korriban. If a Dark Jedi has no contact with anything to do with the Sith, i.e. their teachings, philosophies, abilities etc. then they're only Dark Jedi.

Not really, since there was no one to teach them the Sith ways

Oh so I guess all that stuff Revan learned about the ancient Sith didn't really exist or the fact that they are listed as Sith Lords or...

Yea man way to not use your head...

They were self proclaimed sith lords.

But they were still Sith.

Dark Jedi do not have the upper Sith teachings, as well.

Technically there is only one difference. Sith belong to the organisation called 'The Sith'.

You aren't born a Sith. You don't learn to be a Sith. You join them. If you join up with the group called 'The Sith', then you are a Sith.

You can then make plenty of assumptions and logical workings about teachings and techniques that those in the Sith might have access to that others would not. But the literal difference is still the same. And of course, all Sith ARE Dark Jedi as well; the terms are not exclusive.

Meanwhile, of course Revan and Malak were Sith Lords; that's the entire set-up.
