prof x hears jean's voice and sends the team to alkaline lake
when they get there jean bursts out of the lake surrounded by a huge fiery bird. she then collapses back into the water

a mutant energy sensor picks up a strong signal in alkaline lake
SOLDIER: sir you better take a look at this
TRASK: is that just one mutant?
SOLDIER: yes sir. accompanied by a few weaker ones
sir. a mutant with that much power could............
TRASK: i know. get general fury on the line

*x-men infirmary*
prof x is using his telepathy on jeanexplaining that she collapsed because she had too much power
he then puts mental barriers on her afterwich she awakens.

*nick fury's office*
he gets a call from bolivar trask explaining the mutant they found on the scanner
TRASK: we have to initiate OPERATION: ZERO TOLERANCE
FURY: you know we can't do that, the president won't agree to something like that
TRASK: but....
FURY: end of discussion trask (hangs up)

*back at the desert base*
trask furiosly hangs up the phone
a soldier walks in
SOLDIER: did we get the green light?
TRASK: yes. yes we did

Pretty good, if a bit brief. when did you get the idea for it?

i was just really pissed off at the third movie

finally someone who agrees with me that sounded pretty good. i was pissed to because she didn't have teh fire bird.

I had a dream, where X-three went basically the same, exept it had the Thanosi as villains.

That wouldve been better. X-3 was shit from begining to end.

IT SHOULD'VE HAD GAMBIT!!! Why no Gambit?? Why? We have no backstory to Kitty or Colussus, other than the fact that they are mutants at the school. In fact Cyclops and Jean have no backstory other than that they've been at the school for awhile... Why couldn't Gambit already be there?? Why ask why? Why not? Sorry Gambit is one of my all-time faves, and him and the Rogue from the comic book should be together. The movie Rogue is such a pansy is awful.. They totally screwed her origin up big time!!

here's the continuation

cyclops is about to go outside when the door explodes
through the gaping hole he can see three huge sentinels
some of the students panic while cyke takes down the first one with a few well aimed shots
colossus, iceman, storm, sunspot, cannonball, shadowcat, wolverine, nightcrawler and a few others
join in the fight
as thy do, a swarm of human sized sentinels arrive
the fight lasts a while until jean comes flying out of the mansion
giving off a fiery glow and her left eye glowing yellow
they eventually win
**************************

*desert base*

trask was watching the fight with a satellite
he decides to launch sentinels left and right and destroy every mutant they can find
**********************

sentinels start wreaking havok all across the U.S.A
and naturally magneto is furious
*****************************

*news station*

dr. valerie cooper is being interviewed about the sentinels
she explains that the government has nothing to do with it
just then magneto interrupts the live broadcast
mystique(posing as one of the technical staff) makes sure he's still on the air
he announces his invitation to his brotherhood
and that they shouldn't believe the government's lies
***************************

*desert base*

the military attempt to attack the base themselves
but quickly fail
inside, trask is asked why the military is trying to stop them
he tells them the truth, but they all agree they hate mutants anyway
***************************

magneto's brotherhood all across america start battling the sentinels
as well as the U.S military even though they're on the same side

magneto is transporting his team directly to the military base
***************************

*x-mansion*

the x-men get a call from the president telling them to take down the base
they leave immediately
*************************

*cerebro*

prof x takes control of pyro so he can talk to magneto
he tells him to work with the x-men and not to harm the army that is helping them
magneto agrees
************************

*desert base*

the x-men and the brotherhood arrive
there's a huge fight
after a while
jean breaks free of the mental barriers prof x put on her
she starts screaming in pain and losing control
cyke tries to calm her down
she raises a sentinel weapon and aims it at herself
cyke says he won't lose her a second time
the weapon begins to charge
jean explains that her power is too dangerous and it can't be contained
everyone becomes scared of jean's awesome display of power(a gigantic fire bird)
everything the flames touch instantly vaporizes
everyone flees for their life
jean says goodbye and flings cyclops out of harms way
she waits until everyone is at a safe distance and renders the sentinels motionless
the weapon fires
the resulting explosion destroys the sentinel base as well as herself



and well.... basically there's a sappy ending with a funeral
as well as the government implementing new laws that protect mutants
magneto says the peace will never last... blah blah blah


THE END

I like it, would have been so much better with more description but ultimately it's a much better version than the film

OTHER STUFF/SCENES I WANTED TO INCLUDE

bobby&rogue go on a double date with wolfsbane&sunspot and either has comedic results, or they get attacked by sentinels

wolverine still tries to woo jean

everyone has at least 5 lines

at the desert base its x-men Vs brotherhood VS sentinels instead of them teaming up against the sentinels, so pyro and iceman still have a fight scene

okay i understand that you all wanted the fire bird and gambit and whatever else want in the film but you are talking about this too subjectively. go out to the shops. get your self the double disc addition of the movie. watch it with commentary and look at all!!!!! the features because this explains why alot wasn't in the movie. there are loads of still and concepts of the firebird. but it wouldn't have worked. If all of you watch movies hoping for them to be carbon copies of the comics or whatever else they are based on you might as well not watch films. I find it really sad (as a fellow movie lover) that fans can't accommodate for directors ad writers decisions. Zak Penn and simon (whatever) who wrote the film are like HUGE x-men geeks. even they understood that juggy had to be a mutant because that is what the whole part of the movie is about. it would disrupt the balance of the previous movies to bring in a cosmic for of power for the phoenix or the mystic power of the jewel for juggs! also, referring to gambit, how would they have fit him in? He would've had a part as big as multiple mans. if he is to be immortalised on the big screen then i would prefer him have lots of screen time! It would surprise me if you fans think otherwise.

they're not entirely based on the comics and they're still great
and i don't intend the firebird to be the cosmic entity that is the phoenix
just a manifestation of jean's power
like at the end of x2
you can see the firebird under the water
why cut it out in x3?

and why do they need commentary to fill in the blanks?
the movie was only 105mins long
it should have been at least 2 hours
plenty of time to fill in the blanks

and why show angel's origin if he's hardly in it?
that was a waste of time

if indeed there are to be more films this one has formed a basis for the characters

I REALLY hope there is an X4 so we get to see more muties on the big screen more powers, more fights, more EVERYTHING!! Besides if Apocalypse is in it they'll have to bring in nearly mutant on Earth to beat him and PLUS since they have introduced Angel, he can easily changed into Archangel, you can have Gambit replace him, and give Rogue some power... I doubt they could involve Ms. Marvel in it, I was hoping she would have some remnants of Mageneto's power since it gave her the white stripe, I was hoping she gained the power permanently. That way we'd see her doing something in X3.. but sadly no. Anyway I look forward to any new info on an X4, hoping there is one...

ok i'm gonna get off topic in this thread now. but if there is an X4 i pray to god they mae another trilogy and i also hope apocs isn't in X4. my reason? it would be better if the story line was built up over the 3 films i think the fourth should be a totally different theme, summit like the legacy virus. 5 i dunno? proteus. he could be brough in in 4 as kevin then be come the baddy 6 apocs full on. his story line should be hinted at throught 4 and 5. just my opinion.

If they had just stuck Gambit in the film Willy Nilly with no proper role or story you'd be even more pissed off...they should deffinatly have him in the next on but with a good role...and bring back Nightcrawler....and give Rouge some bloody decent powers

They were going to have gambit and they picked the main guy from LOST to play him you know jacK ( i forget the Actors Name lol!) and because they couldn't get him they wrote him out of the script.

I think gambit is one of the worst x-men characters though it would have been interesting to see how the movie utilised him.

If they had had gambit it would have been just yet another x-man standin g around doing nothing.

i think the movie shda went like this the professor shuda sent the lake to retrieve jean because he sensed her immensed power as they arrived she should have rose from the water in a fiery bird separating all the water then collapse as she stated i am phoenix then emma forst shuda started manipulating jean after she discovered that jean wasn't dead. emma shuda been using her telepathic ability to manipulate jeans own because her's were dormant because of the whole being dead thing but in the climax of the movie emma shuda tried to kill scott which cause jean to snap and become the all powerful dark phoenix just like in the comics

I think that any hope for a X4 is a dream. The only way that they could have been any more definitive in the end of the line would have been a storm that comes along and cause the mutant gene to make the owner explode. The originator of the team and leader is dead. Can the movie go on? yeah, but why? so that some of the characters that we like can be introduced? Then if so, I want Morph. But I want his powers to not be a copy of the originals like Mystique, but a short term real power fest. Won't happen. But if this is where we send our dreams of X4 to die, then so be it, thats my pick

Wow, I had actually already noticed that Sawyer would be a cool Gambit. Except for the accent, I think he'd be great!

Sorry, Stickman, that was a great plot, but think about budget! All these great scenes would cause tickets to be like 30 bucks! Sentinels all over, Pheonix, etc... wow! Even Gambit would be pricey! I think they should have had him, beast, angel in the beginning. And made it show how Rogue gets how she is now, instead of being some doll...

i think that if it was truly the last xmen movie it shuda of had apocalypse as the villian, battles with his horsemen would be very great scences

would very hard to fit it in the story line though

If i were to do over X3 (granted J.Marsden wasn't restricted to SR)
I would only change a few things such as

1-Jeans return- Instead of having Cyclops going missing they would have found his body aswell as Jean's body, but he'd be really torn up as if Phoenix started to dissintegrate him and the Jean stopped her.
2- Professor and logan discusses Jean's powers- Professor will tell Logan about setting up mental blocks when she was younger *but* he suspects that her powers grew as a result of using cerebro. "The power of Cerebro perhaps overwhelmed her causing her to send out a telepathic cry for help, one which was asnwered by a force she calls the Phoenix."
3- I would insert a scen where Scott awakens which is after Jean escapes. Logan'll be sitting where Jean went bezerk and escaped. Scot'll will slowly make his way to the broken down doors and when he realizes Jean's missing he'll automatically freak out asking what happened and blame Logan. He'll try to fight him but Logan'll subdue him and try to calm him down Storm will emerge from the elevator and make haste to calm them down. Logan'll let him go and Scot'll walk off not wanting to talk.
4- At Jean's house before she dissintegrates Prof X she will glow like in X2 when she unleashes her Phoenix poewers. After retunring from getting their buts kicked by the brotherhood and Dark Phoenix at Jean's house Scott still wounded, but now able to walk will ask where the professor is. When he learns of the tradgedy he'll break down.
5- The movie will pursue just the same, but with Scott taking to his room much like the beginninng. then instead of having Logan go after jean who telepathically contacts him Scott would.
6- The pre war scene would start with the X-men suiting up and Scot will join from the elevator suited up he'll be told he's too wounded but won;t care and they'll unerstand. Logan will still giving the inspiring speech and then Storm will warn Scott that he must be ready to do what he must do.
7- At the war Everything will flow the same with Scott's action scenes added and When Jean goes bezerk she will be surrounded with energy again. Scott will take Logan's place in saving Jean; but Jean will force Dark Phoenix to spare him to some extent. He'll be extremely wounded and then he'll tell her he loves her and weeps then does the deed.

*The part about the Phoenix answering a call will serve as subplot for future films if there were to be any this would of course have to do with the pyramids of egypts*

Singer thanks alot. I know Fox shouldn't have forced you to choose be tween X3 and Superman, but you should have stuck to X-Men.
Problems with X3
1. Colossus is hyped in previews(same with Angel), and then especially on Colossus's part, had barely any screentime, and in fact lines.
2. Shadowcat with Iceman.
3. No Juggernaut/Colossus fight.
6. There is no mention of the stepbrother relation between Xavier and Juggernaut.
7. Multiple man and Callisto being villains as well as Callisto having the wrong powers.
8. Archlight and Quill being in the movie.
9. Leech not being Green.
10. The whole story moving really quickly with not much tieing in between the scenes.
11. Juggernaut being a mutant, thought it is understanable.
12. The lazy ending with the cure being used to effectively end the series.
13. No Avalanche.
14. Incorrctly giving Marvel names to wrong characters. Examples Bolviar Trask was the crippled scientist in a wheelchair that creted the Sentinels, however in the movie he is a general in the Pentagon, that has no need for a wheel chair.
15. No Nightcrawler.
16. Curing Magneto and Mystiqueetc.

How the movie should have gone is hard to say giving the countless number of plots that could have been made. Personally I would have done something with the Shi'ar.

the shi'ar would have made a good movie, however it would be hard to fit in the story line

same with mistake number 11

don't forget the fight between iceman and pyro was too short

I don't think i could have made a better x-men film. Made a comic or an animated series? sure, i could have made a better x-3 film through those means, or maybe fully 3d animation using dreamworks studio.. maybe.

but actually casting and filming an x-man film would be pretty insane rough.

i loved the plot, and of course you know scott is alive, not even the phoenix would kill him. And you know jean will come back, i mean come on, it's the phoenix. Gotta die to rise from the ashes. It's pretty weak that they just incorperated the phoenix into her powers though. but adding a space shot, where the x-men hijack a nasa shuttle, jump on board and then get hit by a cosmic flare on the way back.. that's like.. a series of films just on it's own.

I think they did an awesome job with what they had, and they did a great job at keeping it grounded. i really couldn't have done better.

at least they stayed semi-true to the powers of the x-men, bobby, rogue and the likes.

i wouldn't have picked that storyline though, i found it annoying in the comic. i would rather have them cut out all the weak scenes of jean-grey and have them added cameo's of other x-men.

if i had the time (and boy do i have the time) and the resources

i don't know where to post this but can someone tell me the alternete endings that came on the DVD, and i think that jdea is right about some changes about the movie, but at the end instead of haveing logon/scott killing jean she relizes everything that she did and flees and kills herself(not really but it looks that way)

i heard this somewhere and i myself didn't think this up, but he says that scot could be alive that maybe when the phoenix awakes it justs knocks scott unconises and injuries him badly, and then gambit and find him. and as for possiblity for apoclispse (can't spell sorry)
that might be an idea for next movie.

X-3 should have been the title to the movie, The whole "cure" storyline should have been more detailed, Angel should have been used more, Beast should of had a back story about his time at the school and why he left.

In my movie Kitty Pryde would have been the type of character Pyro was in 2, she would enjoy going round for round with Rouge for Bobbys attention.

Angel would be brought in the same as in the movie because that was cool,he would take refuge at the school and train with the students leading into a romance with Jubilee.

Jubilee would have a strong backstory and a romance with Angel

Sebastian Shaw would be Magnetos finacial backer as he waged his war against the human race.

Emma Frost would be Jeans replacement at the school

havnt had time to read what ya wrote, but xmen 3 blew a big one, the biggest dissapointment in a while
