Rules:
Create your ultimate team with ONLY 5 available slots (Marvel or DC).
NO ONE ABOVE HERALD LEVEL.
Take into consideration personality and chemistry or lack thereof.
Consider the roles each would play (ie. leader, power guy, intelligence guy, etc.)
Finally, explain why you picked who you picked and why your team would be the ULTIMATE TEAM.

I'll start:

Surfer: strength, speed, energy projection...what's not to like
Dr. Strange: master of magic...will definitely come in handy
Thor: god, Mjolnir,...nuff said.
Green Lantern (Kyle): what can't he do with the ring?
Wonder Woman: need a female to tone down all the testerone, and who better than a woman who can hold her own and dish more than most guys can handle

I think my team's major weakness is there isn't a standout leader or intelligent brainiac. It's strength is that its very powerful and versatile and no weak links physically.

Kyle is above herald level... as he was for a while tapping into the parallax energy... and you can't really consider a good deal of his feats, without considering that energy...

even now he's the torchbearer... ion energy again...

dr. strange... has been stated off and on as above herald level for how he can manipulate the energies of gods that noone else can do...

but if thats the path we are taking...

I'll take Flash, Sentry, Superman, Hal Jordan Green Lantern, Perceptor

Superman- Leader
Batman 1M -Intelligence
Dr. Strange- Magics
Silver Surfer- Power Cosmic
Zoom- Speed

Wonder Woman doesn't belong on ANYONE's 'ultimate' team. There are much better people you could pick, as far as optimization goes.

Surfer, Zoom, Energy Superman, Hal Jordan, aaaannnd....Drax. Not because Drax seems particularly powerful, but just because he seems like a TOTAL BADASS in Annihilation thus far. .
