Okay, I'm contradicting myself by doing this, but I think I can get an answer in here.


I'm trying to think of a horror movie from the mid 1980's about a pretty young teenage girl who can summon and control insects. She is the quiet, weird, misunderstood type and eventually runs into a murderous, psychotic mother who has no mirrors in her house because of her fantastically disfigured monster son. Eventually the girl has a showdown with said son on a boat and summons her insect friends to kill it.


Anyone remember this film title?

That is PHENOMENA by the master DARIO ARGENTO
It was released in the 80s cut and retitled as CREEPERS but its now available uncut with its original title.
Its a bit of a mess though.
The pretty girl is Jennifer Connelly btw

Since we are on this subject i have a movie i have been locking 4 more then a year is an 80's movie with carnivores cockroaches
The only thing i remember is the start of the movie and it's like this:
A truck with an big waste tank stops in an abandoned city that looks like New York and a and a team of workers get of they take a hose and dump some waste in a sewer but suddenly a large grup of carnivores cockroaches (not the huge kind but the normal black kind) appear and chase a member of that workers team in to a car and eat him alive

Can you guys help me find the name of this movie???

The name of that movie is Damnation Alley.
