k, so there's currently no thread for san francisco's most influential retards and considering that they're recording a new album and touring with Krist Novoselic of Nirvana and maybe finally rereleasing all their old stuff on cd I think it's definitely time for one.

For those who don't know, flipper were a punk/acid rock band during the 80's and early 90's that pioneered a really slow, sloppy sound that would go on to influence L7, Nirvana, REM, the Melvins, and a bunch of other artists. Also, Public Image Ltd. pretty much ripped off their sound and concepts. Unfortunately, you can't really hear flipper at this time cause all of their releases are currently out of print due to legal wranglings and most of em haven't even been rereleased since the original vinyl releases.
The other cool thing is that almost all their albums have cool extras like games and shit, so if you've heard em, post what you have and your kudos, if you haven't, scour the used bins at your record stores and Ebay cause Flipper kick ass.
